  • u can have meerkats as pets. wow! i want one. are they easy to get or care for? are they just like a house cat? u all show that it is. do u have to have a special licence?

  • @alaitain You can in the UK yes, but they are nothing like house cats. They are very very active, get into everything, they destroy carpet, tiling, wood floors and wallpaper (amongst other things), they can tunnel through a plaster wall, they can't be litter trained, and they bite. Badly. When they are sweet they are just lovely, when they are bad they are AWFUL.

  • People talk about feeling sorry for an animal who is out of his/her natural environment. We sort of forget sometimes that "nature" is a pretty harsh place. Wild animals may have nearly unlimited space, but they face predation, get rained and snowed on, go hungry, are infested with internal and external parasites, go thirsty, and are afraid often. If you have an "exotic" pet, take proper care of it, are informed about diet, habits, etc., I'm all for it.

  • Such cuteness. I'm surprised they aren't more persistent. My raccoon would never give up until he dumped the contents of the bowl all over the floor.

  • I love your weasel babies ! We have "weasel" babies of our own but are going to move to another country when we retire just so we can own a meerkat. :) Your babies inspire us !

  • @LoveChae Don't say that... We only put videos up when they are being adorable, not when they are going nuts, biting people, shredding the carpet, digging up the floor tiles and eating the grouting. Or weeing on the carpet, ripping the curtains, pulling insulation off the back of the fridge or again, biting people.

  • @jackandmila We have two weaselly skunks :) They also dig up the carpet, pee on the carpet, bite toes, inhibit all kitchen actions by staying right under foot, tear holes in the wall from scratching, did I mention they have ruined our carpet?

  • @LoveChae Aaah, so you know. The only major differences with meerkats (we have skunks too) is that they are much more active, can't be litter trained often (but much less messy faeces) and much much more likely to bite, and badly.

  • @LoveChae what sort of weasels do you have?

  • I think it is okay for someone to have a pet like this when they have the resources and space for it like this person C: People shouldn't judge the owner and then feel sorry for the animal. They don't know the animal like how the owner does, and besides these animals look pretty happy to me.

  • @KayKayPProdutions Thank you! My little weasels are very happy indeed. Spoiled rotten :-) Doesn't mean they won't bite if they feel like it though.

  • @jackandmila Hehe, yep! I hope you have fun with them! They love you lots. ^ w ^

  • They are SO CUTE! *-*

  • She sounds like Katers :)

  • cereal for dinner o_O

  • yeh @Zephiris00 they don't tend to move without a good reason

  • no meerkitty! this is my pot pie! no meerkitty no! this is my pot pie! mooom, meerkitty is being a dildo!"

  • Just like anything else, as long as they are fed, happy and safe, I don't have a problem with Meerkats as pets.

  • I'd love to have one of these lil guys but I'm pretty sure my cat would have something to say about that. Plus I don't have a big enough garden for them to go wild in lol. I trust they are happy with you and your family so that's good to see. These guys remind me of my cat whilst I'm trying to eat lol.

  • I want! I want!

  • They are cute for sure, but wouldn´t it be better for a meerkat to live where it belongs. They have strong instincts of digging and travel from place to place. I saw in a video when one of the meerkats crawled in to a shoe and start digging - that´s strong instincts. They are still the same animal, still as wild as ever, the difference from a south african meerkat is that they are used to have humans around. I feel pity for these creatures.

  • @Zephiris00 Actually they don't tend to move without a good reason. They certainly do dig - you should see the holes in the garden! And in the walls. We give them loads of space to express their natural behaviour, including allowing them to bite us to express their opinions ;-). They have a wide-ranging territory with our house and 150 foot gardent and I promise you they are very, very happy.

  • I think I know what Jack is saying. "How can you eat that? It's NASTY!" lol

  • I think I know what Jack is thinking...

"How can you eat that? It's NASTY!!!"

  • They are so cute animals I would like one. But I think there is no one in Russia yet. I wold like to know if it is very hard to keep them at home.

  • My dogs are the same way. Like vultures.

  • first view and comment! this is a cute video. haha.
