I was at camden yards that night and after we came back and won they put the Rays game on the jumbo-tron. Everyone pretty much stayed to watch and the stadium went crazy when longo went yard. We hate Yankees/Red Sox fans as much as you guys. It was awesome seeing them leave our stadium in tears.
Cola -- sorry. In 2012 dollars wow..I don't know what that would be. We never had the weight problems in the 1970s either; no video games I guess. We played baseball and rode bikes after school and all Summer. Didn't even have Atari or ColecoVision when that Sox game was played.
AWESOME -- they deserve more fans :( It's kind of sad. I can remember the first game my Dad took me to at age 6..right-field corner Comiskey Field Chicago..Eric Solderholm hit a double and the KC outfielder (cant remember his name) ran right to the wall about 10 feet from me and I am still in AWE of the throw and the speed of this professional athlete. The throw was just INCREDIBLE -- like a bullet. I also ate about $30 worth of Pizza, Ice Cream, Coda, Popcorn..it was awesome :)
Thanks Rays fans, Being a die hard Baltimore fan, we hate the Red Sox and Yankees just as much as you do. Tired of them calling our stadium Fenway South...
that game was sold out first off, and second It's hard getting fans into your games when you're in a market filled with red sox and yankees fans, having sucking 10 seasons in a row. and having a crappy stadium with little to no historic value. go fuck yourself. It's a growing team with a growning fan base.

It's pathetic how well your team does but the stadium is half empty.
