I got pregnant while in remission from leukemia. The chances of the cancer returning while preg was over 50%. Docs said that an abortion would not be considered wrong b/c of the medical condition I was in at the time. On a visit to the gynecologist, I had to have an ultrasound (obviously because of my cancer).....and I've got to say, I took 1 look at that little bouncing blob in my womb....and I melted. I chose life over death; and today, I am 14yrs cancer free with 2 beautiful girls.

I could understand if it was a choice you made because the life that child would have had wouldn't have been a pleasant one. For example, if you were way to young and had no job, no money and simply couldn't provide a good life for the child. Can you explain why you don't want women to be shown their ultrasounds before an abortion? Deep down, you must admit to yourself that it is morally reprehensible to see, say, a 3 month old baby moving its arms and legs in an innocent fashion before the mother ruthlessly slaughters it. IF you are going to kill an innocent baby, the LEAST you could do is look the hapless victim in the eye orbs before snuffing its life out. Fact is, every abortion stops a beating heart.
I think everyone considering abortion should see an ultrasound. Abortion never has been and never will be an option for me, but at 12 weeks my baby was moving around and responding to the ultrasound wand, moving her arms and legs and covering her face. Seeing that just confirmed my feelings that abortion is wrong. I don't understand how you can be so nonchalant, you call it "no easy decision" but it seemed to be very easy for you, and from your tone of voice it almost seems like it was fun.

I got pregnant while in remission from leukemia. The chances of the cancer returning while preg was over 50%. Docs said that an abortion would not be considered wrong b/c of the medical condition I was in at the time. On a visit to the gynecologist, I had to have an ultrasound (obviously because of my cancer).....and I've got to say, I took 1 look at that little bouncing blob in my womb....and I melted. Can you explain why you don't want women to be shown their ultrasounds before an abortion? Deep down, you must admit to yourself that it is morally reprehensible to see, say, a 3 month old baby moving its arms and legs in an innocent fashion before the mother ruthlessly slaughters it. IF you are going to kill an innocent baby, the LEAST you could do is look the hapless victim in the eye orbs before snuffing its life out. Fact is, every abortion stops a beating heart.

I think everyone considering abortion should see an ultrasound. Abortion never has been and never will be an option for me, but at 12 weeks my baby was moving around and responding to the ultrasound wand, moving her arms and legs and covering her face. Seeing that just confirmed my feelings that abortion is wrong. I don't understand how you can be so nonchalant, you call it "no easy decision" but it seemed to be very easy for you, and from your tone of voice it almost seems like it was fun.

Cecil Jacobson ran a fake fertility centre in the 1980s, using his own semen to impregnate women and giving them drugs that mimic pregnancy. He claimed that the drugs were some radical new fertility treatment. He would show them ultrasounds of their own feces and claim it was a fetus, then when they still weren't really pregnant claim they'd had a miscarriage. Look it up on Wikipedia.
