  • you are an awesome Rhythm guitar player

  • that neck pickup sound is from the gods

  • me want... i even got a vox..i just need that sexy beast

  • How do the hollow bodies like the casino sound un-plugged? When compared to a proper acoustic?

  • WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU WANT FROM ME!?!?!?

  • How do these hold up live with overdrive over drums and all? Is the feedback manageable? Or are the Sheraton's better with the solid block middle?

  • How did you avoid the Feedback?

  • damn.

  • This sounds nothing like a casino.

  • @melindagreenjeans The point is so you can tell the quality of construction and the wood for one

  • @melindagreenjeans lets settle down there bud...this isnt the type of video to go trolling on, so no ones going to be on your side.

  • @melindagreenjeans Made yourself look real dumb there, eh.

  • Long Distance Runaround...

  • hey man, i was just wondering what kind of scale your playing at around 2:00 thanks!

  • Great demo vid. Nice clear visuals. *Like*

Check out my casino vid! :-)

  • What effects, if any, are you playing through on each song?

  • Superb playing man! - If you can write as well, we'll know you before we meet you.

    Good luck (much)

  • Is this the $599 - $699.00 Epiphone, or the $1K + model??????

  • @nutmegger1957 It is the more expensive model.

  • pardon me.. what's the song in the beginning?

  • @ncethngs crossroads. clapton.

  • Gorgeous... sounds great too!!!

  • @urwaiter yeah Robert J sang & played it better

  • you better lock your doors beacause im going to rob that sexy guitar of yours

  • I read where McCartney said if he could have only one electric guitar it would be the Casino.

  • Dude it was played by John Lennon on Get Back.

  • @BeatlesSoldierOfLove It was played by John Lennon on most Beatles songs during Revolver and later.

  • man that would be great for get back by the beatles

  • nice playing, sounds real good acoustic !

  • @urwaiter crossroads?

  • Nice review!! Thanks!

  • Yes is a amazing band!

  • i laughed when you started playing long distance runaround at the beginning because i am looking for a hollowbody to emulate the sounds of steve howe. from what i hear this guitar sounds great for yes songs(lol) would you recommend me buying one for this. and also hows the jazz sound?

  • damn u got some pwnage skills!

  • wat was the riff from 2:03 to 2:06

  • The dot is fine until you roll the volume off on either pickup, then your just in mudville. Although whack some paf pickups in there and you've pretty much got a 335 for about a 1/4 of the price. The casino does glisten, perhaps not in this video though. Really nice clean tones from a casino

  • @TheRockerInside it is louder than a regular unplugged electric but not as loud as a typical acopustic but if u want it could be used to practice with acoustically.

  • @TheRockerInside It's very loud acoustically for an electric guitar. If you want to jam with someone who has an full sized acoustic guitar you won't keep up (loudwise).

  • casino or dot which one is better?

  • @SgGuitarrocker casino

  • Comment removed

  • @ubacam don't advise on guitars you're not familiar with. the casino does not have humbuckers...

  • Comment removed

  • @SgGuitarrocker Casino is better! Dot is rubbish.

  • @SgGuitarrocker Too different. Humbuckers vs p90s. Hollow vs semi hollow. Google is your friend. youtube is not the place for these questions.

  • Great Job!!

  • I want it!

  • how is it to play punk or alternative rock on that guitar?

how is the sound of the palm muting ?

great video I would appreciate ur reply.

  • @xfingersify Listen to babyshambles 8 dead boys that has palm muting on a casino

  • @xfingersify i'd really like to know too...

  • i was playing acoustic guitar for a year, now im looking for electro, what do ya think,is this guitar is good for the first electro? i hope action is ok:)if im not wrong player can change action by hes own on this baby

  • steve howe riffs score extra points, bro!!

  • its not worth $800 I will pay $300 and thats all not one penny more

  • Do u think theres a difference between this guitar and the more expensive John Lennon insipired version w/Gibson P-90's?

  • @wisesatyr72 All the Casinos have gibson pickups but I wouldn't recommend it coz Lennon himself said that it was "crippling" XD. However I love the Casino

  • @JAMDOGOfficial they'r all made in China should cost $300, everyone overbids them on Ebay, peope bid at the last minute to keep the price low

  • @wisesatyr72 I own an Epiphone Casino Elitist VS and have owned the regular standard production model. The Elitist is the closest you can come to owning one of the reissues. Neck is set at 16th fret, use gibson USA p90's, headstock angled at 14 degrees whereas the reissue is at 17 degrees, nickel plated hardware. The STANDARD production has the neck set at the 17th fret, uses chrome plated hardware, Epiphone vintage p90's. Having owned both, I LOVE my ELITIST! Both are GOOD only one is BETTER!

  • @thecat63 I wanted to follow up by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed my standard prod model, but knew I wanted to upgrade to a close to what the Lennon used without the reissue price. A friend recently bought the Inspired by, the body is 1/8 thicker and i i didn't care for it. I am avoiding it and buying another Elitist in Natural to have a pair in both versions like Lennon's. Rob

  • @thecat63 the only difference is the pickups man..I mean this guy has the elitist and the other guy has the Korean made one and it sounded the same to me, but the insipired John Lennon guitar is made in China and they want at least $800 for it..I'll just get one used and pay a couple hundreds for pickups I quess

  • HAY DIOS ES la que uso lenon en la azotea.

  • wait a minute.... is there a place for the strap o0

  • @srocketdude

I believe it's behind where the neck meets the body.

  • Its funny how people like Eric the overrated Clapton get so much credit for other peoples riffs. I.E. Robert Johnson and Bob Marley.

  • @journeyquest1 Clapton was great when he knew he was a pasty white English boy. When he started trying to be a 90-year-old black man from Mississippi is when it went all wrong. He hasn't been good since Cream.

"How is Eric Clapton like coffee?"

    "They both suck without cream."

  • @Salguine Two words: Blind Faith

  • good speen in your fingers :)

  • Thanks for wasting my time fuck head!

  • Thanks for wasting my time fucke head!

  • 0:30 Is that by YES?

  • @17crazyeyes Yes lol XD

  • i`m sorry b ut give me a strat anyday. nice guitar though

  • Nice playing. I have listened to The Yes album "Fragile" about a hundred times, but never learned to play any of the songs. It was cool seeing you play two of them

  • whats the name of the song at the beginning?

  • hermosa guitarra es de mis favoritas

  • Good work man!!

  • forget the guitar how about th enote for note roundabout?

  • nice overview! are the p-90 pickups like the gibson p90 single coils?

  • @g00b3rsVAN no.(that was sarcastic)

  • @bobert995 so they're the actualy gibson p90s?

  • no.i apoligize.I thought they were but they are made by epiphone.but they should sound similar if not the same.

  • is there to much diference between the standard and the elitist?

  • @bluecrow00 what i got from the casino elitist was that is had a like much cleaner sound and there was much less vibration from the strings than the standard

  • nice vid!

gotta question, are the upper frets easily accessible??

    cheers!

  • do you ask that on every epiphone casino vid??

  • Nice job!

I purchased a new one a few years ago and use it through a variety of amps.

This guitar is a tone MONSTER!

I have more expensive guitars and love them all, but with this baby you get a lot of bang for your buck.

My only problem is the Casino's neck's a bit narrow for my fat fingers and stretching hard to reach the top notes, but that said, I love this guitar!

  • should i buy the epiphone dot, sheraton, sheratonll, wildkat, casino, riviera, ++++++

  • Depends on what you're looking for.

  • if you like lennon, get the casino

  • @peder0204 I've got an epiphone dot and it's surely the best guitar I have, however I'm after a Casino now

    choice is yours man!

  • love that tone with the neck pickup

  • Wow, I love the tone at 1:56... just amazing!

  • So is it just impossible to play the higher frets on this guitar? i never see any going high on it. And whats this i keep hearing about it going out of tune? im close to owning this guitar and this small things are starting to scare me..

  • mine doesnt go out of tune :) tbh mate, you can cant very high on the fret board, but this isnt really a guitar for that sort of shredding as it isnt very treble'y either. the tone is beautiful tho, its got a smooth neck aswell which is good for slide (:

  • Yeah i'll just have to find a way to play up there. I use notes past the 12th way to much. Should be a pain in the ass but screw it. Do you have any complaints about this one? unfortunatly mine isnt the elite.. oh well

  • well one down side is that hard cases are expensive, you have to be gentle with the guitar (: apart from that i love it cos i play it unplugged and its loud and still nice to play and i like the big body. however, if your looking for another guitar with good tone and sustain, and easier to get higher up the fret board, then i recomened a fender telecaster :D play both in a shop, see what you think :)

  • I got it today and it is great. I just had to fix a little rattle. Its an amazing one, Love the acoustics of it. I couldnt believe has great it was unplug. It came with a hardshell and some parts for 525.

  • great song choices

  • how much was this guitar broskie

  • the regualr is about 600 USD

  • excelent player & guitar!

  • Which is better, the standard 600$ Casino, or this 1500$ one.

  • offcourse the 1500 one

  • question on feedback on anyone who has one of these

    how bad is it ?

how do u resolve the problem ?

    Is it a nuisance ?

  • I have one and the only problem with feedback i have ever had is if you face your amp from two feet away, that being said this is strictly a jazz, blues or 60's/ early 70's instrument, so if you are playing metal or anything with tons of drive and distortion feedback would become an issue.

  • you only get feedback if you stand two feet away from your amp and face it. the other thing is, if you are playing anything with a lot of drive/distortion you will get a ton of feedback because this guitar isn't made for that kind of music, more of a jazz/blues early 60's/70's guitar.

  • would this guitar sound good together with a fuzz pedal? for a blues-rock sound, kinda black keys, white stripes sound...

  • When I started to read your question, I knew u were gonna say the black keys b4 I read it!

Well, my friend has one (silver glittered) and he uses with no problem with a big muff PI, cause he worships jack white, so I think it's ok.

  • Great sounds of Casino, Personally i like the Front Pick sounds of your Demo. I have a Casino with bigsby Limited Edition, and its sound great also. I play with Vox AC30 amp. Always I play with the selector of pick up in the middle position.

Congratulations you have a very interesting way to play. Good vibrato. Bye.

  • Hey question, i love rock, what is best of me?

    The Casino or Sheraton II?

Oh and wat is the differance between the Elitist Casino and the regular Casino?

    Wich one is better?

Oh and great vid man, i love it ;-).

I love that guitar so much.

  • If you love rock, then I would recommend the Sheraton, as it's semi-hollow, suiting it better for rock. However, you could probably get a pretty unique sound using a Casino for rock.

And an Elitist Casino costs a shit load more/is better quality (woods and craftsmenship) and probably has better tone, but that's up to you.

  • hey casino players is it very difficult to control the feedback while playing with much gain?

  • I have a Casino and never have had a problem with feedback at any level of gain. The guitar is good bargain as far as I am concerned. I play weekly in a band and am very satisfied with it exept for a little rattle that I have not been able to isolate.

  • weird... i have epi dot, same guitar just different pickups, mine rattles aswell...i was wondering if it was just mine.

  • Um, not same guitar at all. Casinos are fully hollow, dots are 335-like with a solid center block. Neck set is different too.

  • what can this guitar give me that my epiphone les paul specia l2 cant. i love this thing. i love my les paul tho also.

  • Hey man, im seriously considering buying an epiphone casino, can you help me out? What amp/effects are you using?

  • You have similar vibrato technique to mine.

  • haha i like the close up of the pickup change and great playing

  • i have the same question.. which is better? sheraton or casino?

  • Casino

  • Depends what sound you're after, Sheraton has humbuckers, Casino has P90 single-coil pickups.

  • It's down to personal opinion.

i have a casino and a sheraton, they have 2 completely different sounds to them ! because the casino is a full hollow body you can get alot of feedback off it on stage but you can control it , it does give off more of a blues sound than the sheraton. But really it's down to your own opinion

  • should i buy a casino or a sheraton?

  • yeah this guy sounds a bit like me!

  • Great sounding guitar, and great choice of songs. Yes is the greatest prog rock band of all time.

  • Comment removed

  • dude i'm really not sure about that still there are King Crimson and Pink Floyd.

  • yay roundabout :D

  • whats the name of the song that starts around 1:52 kinda sounds like red house hendrix

  • can get one in white

  • Lol.

  • whats the name of the song that starts at 0:32

  • Long Distance Runaround by "Yes"

  • P-90 pickups do have a very unique sound that seems to add character to any guitar you fit them to

  • cool licks! 5/5!

  • I do question how much better the Gibson es -335 is than the epiphone elitist. I've owned an elitist, and it was a superb example, especially for the money. The only issue with the guitar was around the 17 fret. The notes sounded a little stifled. I've never played a 335 before, but I've seen plenty of demos. I understand that the workmanship is probably superior, but how superior? it's hard to say. I own a Les Paul, so I'm fully aware of Gibsons' capabilities, when making guitars.

  • Lovely sound. You may enjoy listening to my Epi ES175 playing some Steve Howe on my page. Cheers.

  • Very good sounding, nice guitar. 5*

    Robin :o)

  • Great skills!
