Plays like a total faggot. Should have the mic on the amp so we don't hear all this string pick click acoustic shit. Fuck me "unplugged" what the fuck was that shit?
i laughed when you started playing long distance runaround at the beginning because i am looking for a hollowbody to emulate the sounds of steve howe. from what i hear this guitar sounds great for yes songs(lol) would you recommend me buying one for this. and also hows the jazz sound?
The dot is fine until you roll the volume off on either pickup, then your just in mudville. Although whack some paf pickups in there and you've pretty much got a 335 for about a 1/4 of the price. The casino does glisten, perhaps not in this video though. Really nice clean tones from a casino
@TheRockerInside it is louder than a regular unplugged electric but not as loud as a typical acopustic but if u want it could be used to practice with acoustically.
@TheRockerInside It's very loud acoustically for an electric guitar. If you want to jam with someone who has an full sized acoustic guitar you won't keep up (loudwise).
i was playing acoustic guitar for a year, now im looking for electro, what do ya think,is this guitar is good for the first electro? i hope action is ok:)if im not wrong player can change action by hes own on this baby
@wisesatyr72 All the Casinos have gibson pickups but I wouldn't recommend it coz Lennon himself said that it was "crippling" XD. However I love the Casino
@wisesatyr72 I own an Epiphone Casino Elitist VS and have owned the regular standard production model. The Elitist is the closest you can come to owning one of the reissues. Neck is set at 16th fret, use gibson USA p90's, headstock angled at 14 degrees whereas the reissue is at 17 degrees, nickel plated hardware. The STANDARD production has the neck set at the 17th fret, uses chrome plated hardware, Epiphone vintage p90's. Having owned both, I LOVE my ELITIST! Both are GOOD only one is BETTER!
@thecat63 I wanted to follow up by saying that I thoroughly enjoyed my standard prod model, but knew I wanted to upgrade to a close to what the Lennon used without the reissue price. A friend recently bought the Inspired by, the body is 1/8 thicker and i i didn't care for it. I am avoiding it and buying another Elitist in Natural to have a pair in both versions like Lennon's. Rob
@thecat63 the only difference is the pickups man..I mean this guy has the elitist and the other guy has the Korean made one and it sounded the same to me, but the insipired John Lennon guitar is made in China and they want at least $800 for it..I'll just get one used and pay a couple hundreds for pickups I quess
@journeyquest1 Clapton was great when he knew he was a pasty white English boy. When he started trying to be a 90-year-old black man from Mississippi is when it went all wrong. He hasn't been good since Cream.
Nice playing. I have listened to The Yes album "Fragile" about a hundred times, but never learned to play any of the songs. It was cool seeing you play two of them
@bluecrow00 what i got from the casino elitist was that is had a like much cleaner sound and there was much less vibration from the strings than the standard
So is it just impossible to play the higher frets on this guitar? i never see any going high on it. And whats this i keep hearing about it going out of tune? im close to owning this guitar and this small things are starting to scare me..
mine doesnt go out of tune :) tbh mate, you can cant very high on the fret board, but this isnt really a guitar for that sort of shredding as it isnt very treble'y either. the tone is beautiful tho, its got a smooth neck aswell which is good for slide (:
Yeah i'll just have to find a way to play up there. I use notes past the 12th way to much. Should be a pain in the ass but screw it. Do you have any complaints about this one? unfortunatly mine isnt the elite.. oh well
well one down side is that hard cases are expensive, you have to be gentle with the guitar (: apart from that i love it cos i play it unplugged and its loud and still nice to play and i like the big body. however, if your looking for another guitar with good tone and sustain, and easier to get higher up the fret board, then i recomened a fender telecaster :D play both in a shop, see what you think :)
I got it today and it is great. I just had to fix a little rattle. Its an amazing one, Love the acoustics of it. I couldnt believe has great it was unplug. It came with a hardshell and some parts for 525.
I have one and the only problem with feedback i have ever had is if you face your amp from two feet away, that being said this is strictly a jazz, blues or 60's/ early 70's instrument, so if you are playing metal or anything with tons of drive and distortion feedback would become an issue.

Great sounds of Casino, Personally i like the Front Pick sounds of your Demo. I have a Casino with bigsby Limited Edition, and its sound great also. I play with Vox AC30 amp. Always I play with the selector of pick up in the middle position.
Congratulations you have a very interesting way to play. Good vibrato. Bye.
If you love rock, then I would recommend the Sheraton, as it's semi-hollow, suiting it better for rock. However, you could probably get a pretty unique sound using a Casino for rock.
And an Elitist Casino costs a shit load more/is better quality (woods and craftsmenship) and probably has better tone, but that's up to you.
I have a Casino and never have had a problem with feedback at any level of gain. The guitar is good bargain as far as I am concerned. I play weekly in a band and am very satisfied with it exept for a little rattle that I have not been able to isolate.
i have a casino and a sheraton, they have 2 completely different sounds to them ! because the casino is a full hollow body you can get alot of feedback off it on stage but you can control it , it does give off more of a blues sound than the sheraton. But really it's down to your own opinion
I do question how much better the Gibson es -335 is than the epiphone elitist. I've owned an elitist, and it was a superb example, especially for the money. question on feedback on anyone who has one of these
how bad is it ?
how do u resolve the problem ?
Is it a nuisance ?
frubbo 2 years ago
I have one and the only problem with feedback i have ever had is if you face your amp from two feet away, that being said this is strictly a jazz, blues or 60's/ early 70's instrument, so if you are playing metal or anything with tons of drive and distortion feedback would become an issue.
bigmac1723 2 years ago
