I love the hairstyle. I have shorter hair than this woman, and I do a lot with my hair. I crimp it, I striaghten it, I do very tight pin curls, and do a 1940's hair style.
I always wanted relaxed curls, the wavy look, and had no idea how to do it with my length hair! I love the back. I like the bangs at the front, but for me I would take my small curling iron, and curl them straight back, and then brush them out. It would blend in with the hairstyle, and have my fringe off my face :)
Yea polished or not polished its just a starting point then you do do what you want , and finish it as you wish, thats why their is editorial(Runway) or salon looks more everyday wear!!
you're really having issues with those bangs. you should've just either pinned them back beneath the curls, or left them how they were. but i do like the hairstyle.
@Sah0419 i guess it's just personal preference... i actually like how he styled the bangs. to me, it seems like he really incorporated the bangs with the rest of the hair instead of just leaving them out.
Your technique was good, even I didnt know you could do that with a flat iron (learned something new)! It probably would have been much cuter if her hair cut didn't include the short bang. Sometimes I like the kind of messy/no hassle look.
Of course Krazystylist some people like it, some they don't , some are very old fashioned and they don't like messy styles cause probably they don't have the look or they don't have the guts to propose something different to their customers, and they always keep on doing the same style over and over again and staying in their free comfort zone.....
@patriziarosi it's not that it's edgy. I can get behind edgy when it looks good. This just doesn't pull off well. I like that he's trying to do new things, but sometimes experiments just don't work. That's when you try again with a different approach.

wellllll..... the back is nice but front is too messy...... at first when i saw youre tehnic of making that wawes i thought.... wow so nice..... but i don t like the final result .... it is too messy...... but i like the tehnic.....
ew...first of all, the style that you're mimicking is of the 20's, not the 50's. Second, that hairstyle looks like its just messy and not well thought of. I'm pretty sure that those comments that were deleted below, probably had something useful to say. Again...ew.
Well I LOVE this!!! I'm gonna try it for the weekend!

*SLOPPY, MESSY, UNTIDY, UNGROOMED - YUK!
*Looks like a curly "bubble head"!
*AND now a daze fun is made of the "helmet head" hair styles of the 50s & 60s.
*It seems to me that the "hair stylists" do their best to make women look UGLY...
*AND then convince women that UGLY is STYLISH!

TFS, you are truly awesome. For those who made negative comments, look up what hairstyles are in for 2011 and you'll find that soft waves are in.

I wouldn't be happy if I came out of a salon with this style. It needs some serious polish on the finished look.

Love this style! I never thought of doing this with my flat iron. I am so excited to try it now!
Thanks for talking me out of choping my hair into a pixie. A great transitional style to wear while you grow out your short cut.
