that looks and sounds like the guitar i lost in 1970's. Even the scratches around the soundhole look like it. beautiful. if only i could someday find that guitar. enjoy.
@3dpaper 100 years ago it was common enough. Back then the "common" Jim Dunlop capo wold have looked very strange and uncommon. It's all relative. A capo is a capo. There are many designs these days. The one I use in the video is a traditional design featuring leather strap, nylon chord and wooden peg.
from like 6 month from now i will put a re video, im learning to play this song, got it to the midle part, but anyway i olny play like 1 year, VERY FREEKIN GOOD PLAYED!!!!! jesus beter then the original from mi opinion :P
good playing but paco penas version is flawless if u listen to it from the book =) but this guy has been making these teaching videos and I give respect to him for this! keep up the good work!
Sloppy playing?! That was great! I gotta admit that of all the flamenco styles, rumbas are my favorite, maybe because of my background (cuban). And that guitar sounds terrific! how old is it?
Wow! That is amazing! I've listened to this I don't know how many times already. Where can I find the tabs to this song? Thanks for making these awesome videos!
I really like the rhythmic feel you give this more than in the original! Paco Pena plays it clean, yours is 'rougher', more 'driving' and all the better for it!
The complete sheet music, standard notation and tab, is in the book called "Toques Flamencos" by Paco Pena. This book is available online in many bookstores. Try sheetmusicplus . com
Its everything! I listen to it multiple times a day!

I didn't realize you were that old, but you still have a lively soul. All your years of experience really pays off and now you are an amazing musician. I'm pretty sure that you are in your prime years of music which usually comes around this age.
Hey i have just read what some people say about the guitar ,,, that i very immature , and really the more old the guitar the more valuable it is ,,, and really it looks cool , and yeah i listen to ur music :)
Thank you. A man from Florida makes these traditional capos. If you want to know more search on Google for "tony arnold cejillas" (without quotes). Look for chiyostrings blog.
Yes. It was take six. I tried several times to edit out the first few frames of this video. In the end I gave up because it was getting too late and I had to get to sleep. I had to start work early the next day. More videos coming soon.
We all get sloppy playing guitar when we should have gone to bed, but as an artist/musician I know how you can't sleep unless you draw or play what you're thinking off to put your mind to rest.
Awesome job man, 5/5
What is your guitar by the way, I always wondered; it looks old but sounds beautiful. Must be worth a lot by now!
Thank you. I am my worst critic that's for sure. Information about my guitar is on my wenbote. Look in the menu for "About this site/about my guitar." I don't know what it's worth. Many people would doubt that it's worth anything, but to me it's priceless.
It sounds like I've been away on a journey. In a way I have. Much introspection and reassessment. The Himalayan hermit cave I was renting got too expensive so I came back to sea level.
I've been pretty slack really. My lame excuse is that I've been busy with my new website. It's good to be back and see such positive and encouraging comments.
Thanks Edina. I'm glad you like it. You probably realize I left a section out. This is mainly because I never learned it properly, but also because I was never too keen on the way it slowed down and stopped in the middle. I prefer to keep great little piece this moving along and finish with reasuados instead of slowed down arpeggios.
It's just a technical issue that bugs me. The original video is clear and looks reasonable, lighting wise, but when I see it on YouTube parts of it looks kinda blurry and darkish. I'm working on it.
Many more videos to come. I mean I made a few mistakes. That makes me nervous and uncomfortable, especially since I haven't posted anything for ages. I guess it wasn't that bad but it could be better is all. Life in Oz is slow and a bit cold at the moment. I'm just getting over a nasty bout of the dreaded lurgy. I'll be posting a few Juan Martin El Arte pieces soon. I hope you're making progress with this book. There is a lot of cool stuff in it.
