I just don't get why Leonard Whiting did only 5 movies after Romeo and Julliet.He was 17 when he played Romeo and he stopped acting at 24.This man had an amazing voice,amazing acting skills and he was a stunning looking man... But maybe the world wanted to remember him only as Romeo.It's a shame though.
I think he just got a bit fed up with all the crap that goes with being a star.
I worked with him in the theatre in 1976. A few days after the show opened he had a massive row with the director and was either sacked or walked out. The following year his marriage broke up and sadly not much was heard from him again. But your right, he had the lot and I was proud of my short time working with him.

He is the best looking guy I've ever seen. He was fantastic as Romeo and it's a real shame he has disappeared from view. I am about the same age as Len Whiting. When I played the movie Romeo & Juliet for my teenage daughter, she was knocked out at how handsome Len Whiting was. There is no one now who could possibly compare to him back in the day. Nobody! All of today's pretty boys pale in comparison to Len Whiting.
