Couldn't agree more with you who have said "finally a video of branden" he has been my favortie drummer for years. He is so technical with his work and makes it look so easy! I've been listening to him since their first ep and have loved his work since. Misery Signals = generic? come on. They have been around for way longer than most of the bands that would fall into the generic catagory. If anyting, they are the reason other bands are generic cause they copied Mis Sigs sound motha fucks

Don't get me wrong, MisSig is my favorite band of all times (in this particular scene)

But I wish this video would be better. Yeah you are right, damn time! But the sound is horrible, and I've seen much better growling coming from one of the best damn vocalist there is. Simply put : Wrong show, wrong filming/sound and editing. It's a damn shame because you won't get much drummers from outside the hardcore scene to recognize this is the shit.

Ive been listening to misery signals for years. Also playing music witht the same sorta feel for my drums and its awesome to finally see a video of him. I wish who ever filmed it did a little better because when you watch navene's videos they are perfect. Theres only so much you can do though, thanks for the upload, and keep this going. the speed metal drumming is awesome, but some variety is always a fresh breath of air.

it's been going on 4 years since misery signals put out anyfuckingthing. They lost a member, I get that, but it even seems like bands really fall down after devin townsend produces them. This song was literally my least liked song from the Controller. I want to see Mirrors.

Jesus fuck I'm a huge fan of Misery Signals but this performance was just terrible. The guitars are sloppy and off key at some points and same with clean vocals. Karl is also not up to speed vocally what a damn shame these guys are talented and they can play way better.

Damn if only the mix sounded this good in the club, it was fairly muddy and toneless from the crowd. Not a big misery signals fan but this drummer is just AWESOME, I felt privileged to be there.

Two different meters? This isn't a polyrythm. Though that passage totally reminds me of "New Millenium Cyanide Christ" by Meshuggah, with worse footwork of course. And with some memorizing, that really isn't hard.

By the way, your argument "go play it yourself or you aren't allowed to critizise" isn't worth anything. You are also critizising, sure in a positive way, but you don't have a cover of the song either.

@intruderGER Exactly. It's actually a polymeter. 3 over 4 or 4 over 3. You can count it as 3 fourth notes or 4 fourth notes. The snare hit on the 3rd down beat (upbeat) makes it a polymeter.. Something along those lines at least I only know minimal music theory but I know for a fact that a polymeter is two different same tempo'd meters that will agree only after a certain amount of 4th notes and that is what is going in this song. And I dontplay drums but I can play this on the guitar so STFU.
