Pocahontas, John Rolfe, John Smith-"I never knew I could feel that much..."

Well, in my opinion Rolfe is more handsome than Smith, but Smith was politer. I would say the same for Quasi and Esmeralda. Esmeralda should have chosen Quasimodo, because he truly loved her, would do everything for her and her song "God help the outcasts" was dedicated for Quasimodo. And he would make a good father, Phoebus was a bad bitch, too rapid and too strict, while Quasi was a father-friend.

Because of their failure to get together, they made the totally awful cheapquel..-.- But Rolfe was way more polite than Smith. Smith called her a savage and tried to shoot her, whereas Rolfe wanted to make peace, opened doors for her, and was a total gentleman.

Honestly, I just think that John Smith understands Pocahontas a lot better. Rolfe is a nice guy and all, but he brings Pocahontas to Europe, away from her home and everything that makes her who she is. John Smith gets to know everything about her life. That's why it always bothered me that she ended up with Rolfe.

@1mwyz I disagree. In the second movie, John Rolfe understood that Pocahontas would rather die than betray her people. Smith didn't understand and tried to talk her out of saving her people. And Rolfe didn't force her to go to Europe and learn new customs. She chose to because she wanted to help her people. Rolfe actually didn't want to change her but she insisted if it meant getting on the King's good side. And Smith cared more about his own dreams more than hers.

hm ^_^ well done. not a taylor swift fan (her voice bugs me for some reason), but the song suited the situation perfectly. true, Pocahontas had a tough choice on her hands between JR and JS, but in the end, she had matured and looked to what was best for her. globe-trotter that Smith is, hed never be content just hanging around Pocahontas and the village, and she would never be happy away from her people for long. with Rolfe, who by the way gave up his dream job and his entire life in England...

I don't like the fact that she ended up with John Rolfe because ever since I saw Pocahontas 2 as a little girl I was always mad at her for choosing Rolfe instead of John Smith :(
