Hello and thank you for your comment. Not the embroidery stitches are only on top of the first layer, I quilted this quilt with sewing machine stitch around every square and i put the quilt together by long pieces because it is a lot more easy that way instead to do the whole patchwork first and make the whole sandwich, it is to messy machine quilting in a regular sewing machine. I hope it make sense my answer.
I just hopped over here from your first crazy quilt video. I LOVE what you're doing. I love how you're incorporating so many different pieces, including leftovers from previous projects. I noticed the parts you're embellishing already have the batting and backing attached -- do you do the embroidery stitches through all layers? To act as the quilting? Or do you just go through the top layer so the stitches aren't visible on the back (mine are always so messy!)?

I got motivated to hand stitch by a young girl on youtube which was a surprise because young ones don't do that anymore and since then i enjoy it. Hand stitch is in my POV the most cheap way to embellish fabric, cloths, anything, you need just a needle and thread , try it and you will see. Bendiciones!
