1. Lack of oversight of the accounting practices of Arthur Anderson.

2. The privatization of the electrical companies in California, and subsequent lack of regulation when Enron started selling stock in the companies it now owned (which then the prices of those stocks would go up based on a "shortage" of electricity which Enron created'.

What they need to do is list the problems, approach them ONE at a time, and take their time over a number of years to make the situation better rather than rework the entirety of it in one fell swoop. If you want to talk about honesty, you have to look at the President first. No one is being more dishonest than Mr. Obama.

A number of years? How many years? And who should reform health care if not congress? Would you have a problem with congress passing health care reform if it was run by republicans? His ideas on how to fix the health care crisis make no recommendations on controlling the immoral and unethical practices of the insurance companies. For example the republicans say nothing about preventing insurance companies from dropping policy holders as soon as they get sick. This single fact is telling and proves beyond a shadow of doubt that the republicans are not out to help the American people.

Rational, Max Baucus' plan costs $856B over 10 years. It'll impose taxes on the insurance companies, who will then pass the costs onto us. What a pile of dung.

No one supports that plan, and although technically it doesn't have a public option, it has a program that would basically be equivalent to the same thing. That Baucus plan is pretty much a dead issue as is, but maybe with a massive overhaul, some of its content may be usable.

I agree with Leader Boehner, however that all Democrat healh care plans should be scrapped and they should start over in a bi-partisan manner.
