To my knowledge most other countries oil firms are state owned and it would be viewed as unfair competition against "private" firms whose moniker's(British Petro.,Royal Dutch Shell etc.) happen too suggest they are state owned as well. 49 percent is way too much to be given to a rental company. Remember, Shell oil is offering to rent their drills and acquisition services, which you don't need. 10 percent is the maximum that they should receive for that type of service if you decide to acquire their services for a prolonged period. I would pay them a one time payment for their services, like 2 million dollars maximum. You wouldn't offer 50% of your lifetime salary to a car rental company for renting a car, would you?
