Changes from the IG1 opening: Rhino (UK) replaces Shadow (UK), Fury (Australia) replaces Terminator (Finland), Vulcan (Australia) replaces Sky and Nitro (US), Warrior (UK) replaces Sabre (US), Dynamite (Russia) has an updated scene (due to redesigned costume), Vogue (UK) replaces Ice (US) and Vogue (UK) leading all of the International Gladiators replaces Jazz (US) only leading some of the International Gladiators.

I think some stock footge from the first IG series is re-used in this opening, particularly the Stonehenge background, close-ups of Wolf, Zodiac and Jet, Panther and Falcon, Saracen, Hunter, and the G-logo rising up from the lightning to the sun.

i hope since the usa uk and australia all have gladiators comming back and looking pretty much the same on all three shows that the international round does come back.

always sound it to be more intresting that the domestic round.

i remember the aussies just being amazing at pretty much all the events. and how small the german contenders looked compared to the rest.

I so remember this. I used to be scared of this when I was little even though I loved the Gladiators I was scared if the big G but it scared me in a good way. Then a week went by then I saw this on TV again and I wasn't scared. The way the gladiators had lightning comeing out of there hands to make the G more powerful that bit always gave me goosebumps and sent shivers down my spine. Gladiators rule. So does Lightning she is the best strong gorgeous Gladiator ever. I am a fan of Lightning always

Theres an interview on youtube somewhere where Wolf tells you why it was axed, its because the UK Gladiators was an expensive show and ITV thought they could make another show cheaper and make more money, which was probably just another lame gameshow.
