i hired an audio editor who had a large library of war and military effects. you can dl them or buy them online. and he edited with Pro Tools.
i googled "free sound effects" for some of the sound effects from the early edits.

i got the majority of my soldiers at Dollarama and then modified them with ones called:
Canadian Peackeepers. i've only seen them in Vancouver, though I saw some at Value Village in Toronto....
