@incogneterpeter the stupidest thing anyone could do is extend their index finger. you lose stability and accidents are more prone to happen that way. If he held his knife properly and his cuts were consistent it still wouldn't be impressive in the culinary world. Plus he's not even keeping a stead pace going because he's using his forearm and tensing up. All he's doing is thinking he's cutting fast when in reality he's making a big fucking dangerous mess
@AmberRaffile this is a pretty common way oof holding the knife especially in asia and i was just asking why you think why the way he holds his knife is wrong not a rant
@incogneterpeter it's a common way to hold a knife if you're fabricating fish... please don't argue with me on this and the rant isn't directed toward you nor is it for just you to see but I can't stand it when stupid people come on here and misguide other people into thinking this is cool or even safe knife handling. I can assure you there are a few idiots nd a few well intended people who would want to hone their knife skills. So with that said, I'll speak freely
@AmberRaffile i never started an arguement i was just curious why you said what you said... and just stated about the asains i wasnt saying its the right way or the wrong way ...ive been handling knives for over 10 years i just wanted to see the first sentence..
u can recognise how dump he is.....????SEE THE WAY HOLDING KNIFE ...IF he is professsional thn wont put his index fingure on revert side of edge...suks..
@SephSwain It's obvious is a fake. If you look to the little finger movements of the left hand you'll notice it has been edited. Of course it's possible to cut that fast, but for sure, you need the help of a video maker to do so :-P.
So this is what you get while the real kitchen crew is workin. Everyone in a decent kitchen can do this. And if you disagree with me then get a real job and stop workin in bar/ restuarants cause there no better then a chili's.
hahah buds if u think thats knife is stable the way your holding it ur wack cut something besides leeks and see what happens your leeks looks like u fucking miced it

I hate when people make videos to show off! I'd rather see it slow to admire the blade flowing through it!

Wow. I wonder how much blood has been spilled on leeks in order to achieve this speed.

speed IS about everything when you lose a finger
have you seen a slow bleed? its boring as hell
Maethur 2 years ago
It looks like the video was sped up .
kalel0192 2 years ago
It was not.
SephSwain 2 years ago
Speed isnt about EVERYTHING when you lose a finger. Try holding the handle. Thats what it was made for. I can cut faster than this using the handle.
CulinaryWorld 2 years ago

Very cute...we see this on TV all the time. But what the hell is you're technique?...you didn't explain anything.
algonkin64 3 years ago
Technique is the same as everyones.
You want me to make a "How to learn this" video?
SephSwain 3 years ago
Yes I would like that...if you're up to it :)
algonkin64 3 years ago
Don't learn from this guy, he keeps his finger on the spine of a knife, that is a big no no. Major loss of stability.
