    Always love the BBC1 and (especially) BBC2 looks of 1991, probably my all-time favourite BBC Christmas identities.

    Was it BBC policy for the whole UK to take the same BBC1 continuity on Christmas Day?

    BBC Scotland went with the network continuity 1991-1994 on Christmas Day. Maybe other years too. Prior to 1991 I suspect they went with their own continuity - they tended to have their own Christmas Ident. In 1991 they went with the network ident as has been the case since.
