  • Narrator of this segment needs to be strangled.

  • Wow that Dad was so chill, my mother would be freaking out.

  • don't worry about it sonXD

  • Hey do you have any video from right after the event? i know it was from a documentary but i kinda want to see the damage in that immediate area as it appears its where it was touching down. Awesome video.

  • @FloridaSeverWeather I've never seen any footage of the aftermath.

  • @cbehr91 Unfortunate D: thanks for sharing anyway

  • This was filmed the exact same day I was born!

  • That's some freaky shit right there! ISN'T THAT SOMETHING?

  • Meanwhile, as he is sucked up inside the tornado, you could hear him faintly yell, "Isn't that sumthin'?

  • "Isn't that somethin'?" lmao! I wonder how many people will say that here.

  • Gread vid, odd to see the funnel cloud so tiny on such a very fast wind rotation.

  • @cbehr91, this is incredible incredible footage of a lesser known tornado from Jarrell outbreak. The calmness of this boy's father is unfathomable. It is very odd to see how the winds of this tornado were so strong yet the actual funnel of this tornado was incredibly tiny, almost hardly visible.

  • @jmeier37 Yeah, dads almost a little too laid back.

  • Son: "Almost every window in the house is breaking, dad."

Father: "Don't worry about it, son." LOL

In other words, flying glass is harmless and nothing will happen to you if it hits your body, even at such a speed as tornadic winds. How ridiculous!

  • I got this tape when I was a kid, most of it was a guy building tornado machines in his basement. LOL!

  • Very casual!! I guess in certain parts of America you're kinda more prepared for these things.

  • Inn't that somethin'?

  • @ChuckBuffalo LMAO!

  • can u post the Jarrel texas wedge please?

  • @TheMightykaz Sorry, I don't have any video of the Jarrell tornado when it was a wedge. I only have video of it in its organizing stage, which I believe you made a comment on so obviously you have seen it.

  • stupid people!!!!!!!! unreal!!!

  • I was referring to the outer circulation, away from the core of the strongest tornadic winds.

  • Isn't it sumpthin?

  • Such a touching father son bonding moment. lol

  • "every window in the house is breaking dad!" "dont worry about it son"

  • @TheHardHats for real that dad is so chill about it haha

  • @TheHardHats

OMG, yeah... "Don't worry about it, son."

Yeah, son, don't worry about flying shards of glass...

  • Where's the urgency? i always wonder when I see this clip if the guy taping was seeing some alternate universe, where there WASN'T an F3 tornado across the street, with debris flying by at 70mph and every window in his house shattering.

  • @passiontwist good point. only if it was an f3 at the time, the debris would be flying over 165 miles per hour.

  • I dunno but if I were to experience this I wanna be around this guy to keep me from going insane! "Everything is the house is breaking dad"!! "Neh, don't worry about it" OMG!

  • Five stars--first one I've seen in a long time! The tornado seemed to hover in the neighbor's backyard. And to be so calm! To have one freaking out and the other calm makes for good vid i know it's across the street son, "but I'll be in in a minute!". That's guts! Thanks

  • That dude had to be in the military at some point of his life to be that claim.

  • That was awesome. I've never seen anyone that calm during a tornado.

  • OMG! I live near Cedar Park!

  • They're even scarier when there is no condensation funnel. Just a spinning cloud of debris coming at you!

  • There is a condensation funnel, it's invisible!

  • In my understanding the condensation funnel is the cloud visible in the center of the tornado. There's situations involving temperature and pressure where the condensation can't reach the ground yet the vortex is alive and well.

  • it looked like he was right next to it for a few minutes

  • this tornado went thru the albertsons in cedar park. i was in 7th grade when it happend. there were a few tornadoes that day.

  • Me too. I remember it. The sky turned that sick green color and I headed back indoors FAST!!!

  • ya that was def a weird summer. it really sucked ass for jarrell.

  • omg.! im not even kidding with you, this was the tornado that passed right by my house. it went on the street right behind my house. i was only one years old so i didnt see it but i heard about it.

  • wow cool

  • the tornado was too weak to cause any significant damage thererefore it was probably an EF0 tornado.

  • It was F-3 at its peak, although it may or may not have at this point.

  • oh, okay. however, the people inside the house in the video appeared to be calm but not doing what is right for their safety by staying away from windows and get into the center part of the lowest level of the house.

  • I was a few miles south. That tornado crushed a grocery store and knocked the Hill Country Flyer off its tracks. My daughter was in the Lakeline Mall as it pass by.

  • some of the funniest shit ive seen in a while lol, tornado tearing apart the house and they are chill as cucumbers lol "isn't that something" shit cracks me up man, you guys are some chill ass dudes lol, were you drunk or something? meche182 knows what im talking about lol. props to the photographer, you guys are cool as shit!

  • it's not stupid. The guy obviously knows that a tornado of that calibre isn't going to take the house down, but it's going to break windows with debris. When a tornado hits the ground and stays on the ground, it has to build up power. That was not a powerful tornado.

  • @cruentus29 Not true, a tornado can increase in strength from an F0 to a strong tornado , maybe even an f5 in less than a minute. There is plenty evidence of this on youtube. Watching the tornado like they did may give someone an adrenaline rush, but wasn't the smartest thing to do. Especially with the debris which was shown near the beginning of the video.

  • Why are these people all non chalant. Hey man a TORNADO is destroying your HOME!

  • "well there goes all the trees"

  • I can't believe this guy wasn't worried about taking cover, he could have been killed.

  • @karsol7

It's possible he may have had a few before he took the video...LOL!!!

  • tornado!!

  • tornado just hit here in cedar park about 2 hours ago. crazy out here.

  • i know i was freaking out

  • Son: Almost every window in the house is breaking, dad. Father: Don't worry about it, son.

That was stupid and naive. They could have been killed.

  • Having lived in tornado alley most of my life, that little twister wasnt that bad. That man did what he should have. What you couldnt see from the camera was that he had already moved his family to the center of the house. He kept his cool which kept his family coolheaded as well. Panic is a true killer, not that particular tornado. He did right.

  • zomg, the guy in the background sounds exactly like my ex!

    scary

  • i was there too, that thing was real dang close too our house, slammed right through the Albertsons store that isnt there anymore, my mother worked there at the time and they all hid in the freezer

  • LOL WTF... dude has a tornado bearing down on his house and he's like. "Isnt that something???" a little stupid but funny none the less

  • get the dog in the house..

haha why would you let your dog out during a tornado anyways?

  • LOL I can't believe how clam this guy is.." almost every window in the house is breaking Dad" -" Dont worry aobut it son...... It wont last long"

  • I was there when I was young. just south

  • It's one thing to be an idiot and risk your own life, but this guy nearly got his son killed along with himself. Amazes me how muggles (the general public) just don't get it when it comes to how dangerous tornadoes can be. That guy was videotaping his own death right across the street, one shift either way from the path it took and his house woulda been gone, along with his son, "Duke", and whoever else was just standing around as glass and shit flew by. DARWIN AWARD WINNER.

  • july 9 2008 is my 7th birthday!

  • bet his wife was pissed.

  • What show is this footage from?

  • Secrets of the Tornado.

  • It would appear that the man taking this video was possibly the neighbour to the person who taped the other cedar park footage..

  • dude!

  • What is this guys problem with keeping the camera still!! -.0

  • he's in a tornado...

  • No, he's near a tornado, admittedly windy, but it's still not difficult to balance the camera on something at least to keep it steady ;d

  • hah.. haha, this guy's house is being destroyed around him, he had the presence of mind to film it and you're complaining it wasn't steady enough..

  • well..... ain´t that something?

  • nice video-crazy-but nice.

  • I WAS THERE!!! Crazy ass shit

  • damn i was caught in this tornado too it was crazy i was little and didnt know what was going on

  • me too.. in fact.. i know you!

  • Lol wassup nate crazy ass shit from our youngin days
