I fly glow-powered RC airplanes a lot. The engine will definitely overheat without much cooling, at least in the summer; for that reason, you might consider getting a helicopter engine, and using a fan shroud like helicopters do. Also, they have a larger head to act as a heat sink. The 40 makes 0.64 HP at 12,000 RPM, according to its spec sheet. You're barely turning 5000, I'd say. You're probably making about .1 or .2 horsepower, if you're being forced to run at part throttle.
first motor outrunner rc during one rotation magnets react only in the one-quarter of electrical coils should be converted so that on each of the coils was a magnet coils should be divided and combined rónolegle order came two phases if we have 6 coils and 6 magnets should look so at full speed you should get około80% of what gets the motor up, depending on engine efficiency assuming that gets as many turns as he is able to generate the full load
@RCNitroHelp101 i think watercooling the system would make it an even more fun project. also very complicated though. it will add weight but make it more silent.. hmm i dont know. i will think about it. i have a bigger brushless standing by.. if that shows to deliver around 150W then i will design the cooling.
i didnt need it for the test, is was very cold outside. i am still thinking of a final cooling design. maybe included in another noise-reduction-housing to put on top of the whole generator.

Think of all the fun you could be having if that gas engine was just in the car.
