Lindsay Fisher really brings Margaret to tragic life; too bad she quit acting. Watch her face carefully: though she seems like a goofy, cheerful kid at first, at times her expression betrays a deeply sad, lonely girl. For instance, after she says "dogs, you have to leave behind." Not only does Margaret not have any human friends, but her only animal companions are these cold, dangerous creatures. Lindsay really captures the demeanor of an isolated girl who only wanted to make friends. Beautiful.

This video definitely skips parts. In most Wonder Years videos I've seen there are 4 parts and this one only has 3. Plus around 3:58 it skips from Kevin and Paul talking to the dinner table to square dancing way to fast.

Great post nj. Prolly my favourite episode. This is when I go into my wonder years mode, but growing up we all had a turn as Kevin and as Margaret! I've made my kids watch this one; great lesson in growing up. Small note, too bad you missed the short stint at Kevin's house in Part 1. Sets up the family pressure with Wayne. Thanks.
