  • cool :D

so how are we going to control it? :)

  • HAHA It would be so fucking cool if I as soon as you wake up you become online and could choose to be "offline or busy etc" and also check your friends if they are online and call them, skype on the contact lens! yay but maybe one probably will get worse, the internet bullying :/ because if your always online people will always get to you.

  • "You blink and you'll go online." Hopefully the way to go offline won't be the same way.

"Thilinus has come online, Thilinus has gone offline, Thilinus has come online..."

  • @Thilinus hahahahahah

  • i wounder what games Michio Kaku plays

  • i wouldn't use it even f it existed. I am a human wtf this shits getting out of hand

  • And then Dr Evil Spams your contacts..

  • Michio Kaku i really look up to you but i don't know what to do to be like you ?

  • @BadKid95US study... a lot

  • @LucifersAngelFeather Study what ?

  • @BadKid95US well, you could start by looking him up on google and see what he has a Phd in, where he studied and what.

  • contacts, glasses naysayers. This is current science fiction that could become science fact. The point is not wether it will work with contacts vs glasses, the point is that the technology for realtime feedback will change how we interact. It may start as a headband with a monocle you can bring down over an eye connected by Bluetooth to a CPU on your belt. With nano technology who'to say that one day it can't done on a contact lense?

  • Having such a system kind of requires that it sees the world around you with sensors (gyroscopes, accelerometers, GPS, etc) and having these on the lens would be an impossible task if you still wanted to see through them. Any feedback delay between moving your eyes and having the display update to the new position and direction would only serve to confuse and possibly sicken the wearer. Again, eyeglasses would be easy to don or remove and easier to build with all the necessary sensors.

  • The trouble with contact lenses is the eyes they are on will only focus on the very center of the view. If you're reading a book or watching TV or viewing a scene in reality, your eyes scan and focus on different parts of the view. While you may see things in the periphery, you only can recognize and interact with the things that you directly observe with the center of your vision. Having the augmented reality mounted to your eyeballs negates this ability. Eyeglasses would be a better solution.

  • I would prefer it in my eyeglasses, then it is remotely wired to a gadget that can be held in your hand, or maybe your finger. It looks cool to have internet glasses with variety of designs.

  • I would rather put in on eyeglasses.

  • this coming from me, Your sarcasm to the subject matter doesn't exactly jive with the Bill Of Rights, however I would honor people who want to be in such a system, I guess, but it would have to be completely voluntary

  • One HUGE problem with this: Not everyone wants to wear contact lenses. :\

Including me... Plus, I really wouldn't like to have pop up screens and windows and texts in front of my eyes all the time.

Another thing that needs to be considered is: Hackers. Just imagine if someone hacks your lenses and records everything that you do. Or worse, someone inserts a rapidly flashing animation in your vision to cause you an epileptic seizure.

  • We will have all that by the year 31.200!

  • I dont know. I get dry eyes when wearing contacts

  • It would be great if it's only used to identify objects and how to use and fix them properly without acting like a fool in public also it would be awesome if it had a C.A.S.I.E of sorts

  • Michio... Please don't refer to "virtual reality" as for kids, but just rather entertainment.
