  • O Rupert. *swoon*

  • @MissMasoch I'll swoon too! can we have a swooning party? ;)

  • GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!!!

  • I'm not the type of girl that cry during the movies, but i have to admit, everytime i see this movie i cry, i really cry, and i can't exactly explain why! I think it's because of the story, it's a true story and it kinda makes us think about love, the true love, that kind of love that last a life time you know?

Beautiful story, great actors, so PERFECT movie *.*

    My favorite movie <33

  • She's got a cute gggle (:

  • I love England!!GOD SAVE THE QUEEN!(ps.I'm Greek)

  • @prasinomata88 but greek is totally awesome 2 :)

  • @Meme1700ss thank you :)

  • I LOVEEE THIS MOVIEEE

  • hehehe every time she did/said something awesome I would sing "VICTOOOORIA, VICTOOOORIA!" (as in the Kinks song).

  • Lord Melbourne ! Now I remember his name . He was great !

  • the guy she ended up with n the end is so ugly ! the blonde one who was supposed to marry her from the beginning was hot , they would have made a great couple !

  • As a historian I bloody love Victoria. And this film thow not 100% fact is awesome and romantic as hell

  • this film is brilliant.. and it really makes you wish you lived back in her reign, so you got to see the real thing. one of my favourite films ever.

  • This is such a great movie. I love the elegance of it and the romance brings you to tears. One of the best movies I've seen in a while. Oh and Rupert Friend (Prins Albert) is so handsome...and hot :D

  • soooooo romantic

  • where can i buy this movie?

  • MUSIC 4 this trailer :

    1) piano: ..?? Help anyone?

    2) here comes the king by X-ray dog

    3) PM's love theme from Love Actually

    Cheers :)

  • Perhaps too outdated for many to take notice, and what a shame for that because this movie is EXCELLENT. If you like period pieces this one is exquisite. Every moment matters. There is consistency throughout, and the characters are well developed. It's been a long time since I've seen a royal period piece so well made. It is neither politically or romantically overwhleming....yet it is quite balanced, and enough of a compelling love story to bring tears. Very entertaining. Recommended!

  • are there anyone who knows what the piano song from the beginning is called ? can't find it anywhere :c

  • I saw this on an airplane, and it was so good, I watched it twice

  • professor slughorn!!!!

  • The music at 1:05 is from the movie Love Actually

  • @duluthguard RIGHT! TAHNL YOU SO MUCH LOVE ACTUALLY!

  • what is the music that starts at 1:05

  • I love Albert! He was so cute!! So sweet when he shields Victoria from the bullet.

  • I saw this film in cinema last night, and I liked it a lot... It's a beautiful love story...

  • i think the film is up for set design and costumes etc at the Oscars but we should all be outraged that americans don't think it deserves nominations for British actors and the Canadian director

  • I'm an American & I was VERY angry Emily & Rupert didnt get nominated! I may be bias because I'm a history nerd & I admire the British Monarchy history, especially Queen Victoria! When I first heard about this film, I did a dance! LOL

I think the Oscars overlook good actors for popularity (like Ava-junk by James Cameron), that's why people lose interest over the years. I watch it because it's actors supporting their peers not just studio heads deciding who is worthy to idolize.

  • @ShinbiBelldandy I so very much agree with you that the oscars should have included the film for more nominations than just set design, makeup and costumes but i am glad that it at least got the oscar for costumes. everything was so well researched......i agree that actors should have been nominated too for sure.

  • Just saw this today!!! Such an amazing movie! Good to finally see a historic/romantic film that isn't rated R!!

  • I loved this movie!!! awesome ;)

  • I wish it was playing in every theater.

  • @aby3838 you are so right. during the news years weekend in toronto it only played in three large theatres....here in smaller waterloo, ontario though, it has played for a full month already ijn a smaller theatre

  • Isn't he Rupert Friend who's playing the role of Prince Albert? a.k.a. the beau of Keira Knightley. Paul Bettany looks really old in this movie :)

  • I know I'm in to history to but only if their is some drama to make it more interesting. Like The Tudors tons of drama in that.

  • Does anyone know the song from 1:17 onward? I'd be much obliged, thanks :)

  • It's from the Love Actually OST- PM's Theme

  • Check the soundtrack

  • who's the dude from around 0:15 ?

  • Paul Bettany is the younger guy, the older man is Jim Broadbent

  • nicee..

  • whats the music in the last part?

  • It's title is "PM's Love Theme" from the movie "Love Actually"

  • it is albert's character that imprints itself on england, the Victorian character is albert's, the stiff laced, no nonsence German character

  • Oops my bad! It's Here Comes the King by X-Ray Dog.

  • The music from :30 to :60 is Return of the King by X-Ray Dog.

  • does anyone know the song playing from the beginning to :30, and the song from :30 to :60? i'd really appreciate it, thanks!!

  • I'm here in the States, so unfortunately this fantastic film won't come out till Jan. 2010 in wide release. For those who are familiar with the film, is the music included in this trailer on the motion picture soundtrack? If so what's it titled, especially that last orchestral part, I love it!

  • noo actually you can watch this on you tube... i already did .... it was really good.

  • weird enuf... the background music IS from Love Actually.

  • what the soundtrack to this called

  • I don't know what the soundtrack's called, but it sounds like music from Love Actually.

  • Wow I can't wait to see this movie Canada gets it December 18th

  • I cannot wait to see this!!! :D

  • What is the song playing at 1:15? It's driving me crazy.

  • Its from "love actually" :)

  • Academy Award for Best Costume Designer

    2006 - Marie Antoinette

2007 - Elizabeth: The Golden Age

    2008 - The Duchess

    2009 -

  • hey dont forget the queen movie

  • well, in general, the theme was for "love actually", but the tune is so popular now ... everyone uses it :)

  • after seeing so many movies on queen elizabeth it's refreshing to see one about queen victoria :)

  • @annettecerdas

Queen Victoria,, the better Queen. ;)

  • what is the song at 1.17?

  • PM's Love Theme - Craig Armstrong

from the soundtrack Love Actually :)

  • ahahahha i thought the music sounded familiar

must have watched pride and prejudice about 5 times

  • Emily Blunt freaking rocked as Victoria.

  • WHY the hell are the soundtracks from narnia and love actually in this trailer!?

    GET YOUR OWN THEMEMUSIC!

and ohmy her ally played dustfinger in Inkheart! sexy much?!

  • haha they also used pride and prejudice music at the end of the trailer. They arent very creative

  • the music sounds like the one from the other bolyen girl

  • And from About A Boy.

  • But after, and I think it's was the first step of the tension between England and the states of Germany ; Queen Victoria decided that her heir Bertie (future Edouard VII) maried not a German Princess (it was each time since George I) but a Denmark Princess (Alexandra) that became very popular in England ; and there was a that time a war between Denmark and states of Germany.

Albert hoped to create in Europe a unified Germany under Prussia that would be great power as France or Russia.

  • Comment removed

  • pro-german for Bertie and his wife ? rather anti german (after the denmark-prussian war). In the denmark-prussian war, it was funny , Victoria (the Queen) was pro-prussian, and her son hoped to help the Denmark , and more funny, it was Vicky (the daughter of Vicoria who was a prussia princess) that have much participated to marry Bertie to the Denmark princess et just after she was very happy that Prussia was in war against Denmark. The Victoria family very strange ....

  • I meant they are pro-french

    sorry I typed it wrong

bertie had always had an affinity with France

played crucial role in entente cordiale of 1905

  • It was the fact also, that Victoria accused her heir son of being a part responsible for the dead of Albert , and she had often bad relations with her daughter in law particularly because she was too pro german against her natal country So, Bertie was particularly against the idea of his mother. That is what I have read , I am not sure all is correct.

  • vicky was taken by alexandra's beauty

  • I typed wrong

bertie and his danish wife are pro-french

    vicky is pro german

  • bertie expressed his sincere wishes in hoping that france will win the war of 1870

when alix saw his son dressed in prussian uniform she said

" so my son has become a german soldier! but it is your misfortune, not your fault."

lots of strain in the family by these divisive loyalty

  • I think that Victoria with all of her prepared weddings for her children have had many effects for the events of the beginning of the 20th century.

  • hey does anyone know the name of the song that starts at the beginning of the trailer? it starts at around 0.03...any help would be great...i looked for the soundtrack already but the song wasn't on it...

  • Was it ..Only you? Sineed O'Connor

  • I have readed a few documents (wikipedia, ...) about the queen Victoria.

Her ancestors came from the House of Hannover (George I who had himself of course Stuart ancestor that permitted him to become King of England).

Interestant to see how after, the House of "saxe coburg gotha" came , first by Leopold (future King of Belgium) without sucess and after by his sister that gave Victoria who married her cousin Albert that came from the same house.

  • The music at 0:40 is "Here comes the King" by X-Ray Dog, which you can find in The Other Boleyn Girl trailer as well :)

  • hehhee 10 days ago i was in royal pavillion in brighton and there were some pictures of victoria and albert...... i have to see this film

  • Ive been there too, I wanna see this wil that way also

  • please help me what is the song that started a 1:17 it's very important thanks

  • PM's Love Theme from Love Actually.

  • prince albert (ruper fiend) looks like orlando bloom lol

  • Rupert Friend was mr Wickham in Pride and Prejudice. I loved him in this though! I swear i wanted to marry him myself he was so cute, lol! XD

  • i know, i saw the boy in the striped pyjammas and almost cried i wanted him sooo bad =( i have alot of pictures of him now hehe, thats all i have though

  • This is a very romantic and beautiful movie.

The movie's end credit love song ("Only You", by Sinéad O'Connor) is quite lovable as well.

    Highly recommendable movie :)

  • What is the name of the music that begins at 1:06?

  • soundtrack of Love Actually

  • This movie was brilliant. I loved every minute of the film, it was very, very worthwhile.

  • It's not as good as Elizabeth: the golden age

  • A cried like a baby near the ending. It really brought history to life :)

  • What's the name of the song?

  • this movie was so good. could have been longer and more detailed, but other than that a very good movie. :)

  • looks good!

  • Albert is sooo charming!! i love him!

  • This was even better than I expected. Definately one to see and fairly accurate

  • aww, i think this'll be quite gd! Victoria loved two men; her husband, Prince Albert and after his death, John Brown.

  • rebe1angel- she was also very close to two of her PMs; the Viscount Melbourne and Benjamin Disraeli as well as a servant; Abdul Karim- however those were more strong friendships. She loved Albert more than anyone.

You should check out the film, its great. Regards

  • What's the music playing from 0:35 seconds?

  • X-Ray Dog: Here Comes the King

the one from 1:03 onwards is Love Actually's

somehow this version of the trailer has the trailer musics "sharped" compared to the original one

  • 0:35 X-Ray Dog: Here Comes the King

the one from 1:03 onwards is Love Actually's PM Love Theme by Craig Armstrong

somehow this version of the trailer has the trailer musics "sharped" compared to the original one

  • It's from the Narnia soundtrack, called 'Here comes the King' I think.. no idea why they've used it..

  • yes ive noticed theyve taken to using this music in this sorta films

like in 'the other boleyn girl' not that im complaining. its good music

'prince albert' actor, wasnt he in 'boy in striped pjs'?

  • yes he was! well spotted :)

i dont really like the way they've taken to generic music in trailers these days, something from the original soundtrack would've been much better imo.

  • i thought so lol. he should be a nicer character in this tho lol, but still german i think?

i swear they have some loveactually music in here too?

  • Yes, the military sergeant whose father was against Nazis and who beat the old servant.

He is also in Pride and Prejudice.

  • reallyy?

    which character was he?

  • AHAHA. He's the soldier who marries Elizabeth's sister :o

The one who was close to Darcy's family?!

Yeahyeah. I'm really into these kinds of 18th-century, modernized, English-made films :'D

I recognized quite a few of these actors.

BUT YES! Watch this movie. It's quite good. The ending is really sweet :D

  • Mr. Wickham

  • Why on earth did they use the same music as is on love actually? Bad move! I'm a big fan of period dramas and I love the Victorian period! Though I have to say......from the trailer this looks a tad disappointing. Will look forward to seeing it and hope it proves me wrong.

I agree Keira would have been completely wrong for the role of Queen Victoria!

  • I actually started laughing when that music came up--I believe it is now the anthem for any period love drama's trailer.

Someone should have sent them the memo that P and P claimed it already.

And yes: Keira? Bad Victoria. Emily Blunt? Badass, who actually looks like a young Victoria.

  • ...was it originally from Love, Actually? I recall on the DVD commentary there being some joke about this piece of music originally or also being from Shakespeare in Love.

  • Yup, its Love Actually--you can find it on the British soundtrack to the film. For some unknown and stupid reason, its cut out of the American one.

It's just been over-used in previews, etc, for Romantic films, like it was in Keira Knightley's Pride and Prejudice.

So I guess some people hear it and think British Romantic film... Shakespeare in love!

  • ya. PM Love Theme by Craig Armstrong

  • I was in this movie as an extra!

  • lol hehe

  • Yes and so was ime attending the premier at the odeon leister sq make sure your there.

  • Keira Knightley would play Victoria's role really well..it's a shame she's not!

  • I'm afraid Keira has already filled her sack of period dramas.

  • Keira as victoria??i dont think so...Keira doesnt have the dark hair and round blue eyes victoria had...so wouldnt be a good idea.

  • What´s the name of the second and last music?

  • It is from the 'Love Actually 'Soundtrack called 'PM's Love Theme'. If that helps.

  • Anxiously awaiting!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • As an extra in this film, i think it looks amazing!!!! Bring on the awards!!!!

  • You were an extra?! Did you meet Miranda Richardson?!!! I adore her!

  • I did indeed, if you class "excuse me, thanks love" as a meet. It was great fun, everyone was very friendly.

  • I dispise you now! I want to meet her so bad! But I am an ocean away, so my chances are slim! I would love it if she said 'excuse me, thanks love' to me! But I am slightly obsessed! Hehe! It must have been so much fun!

  • Which scene were you in? I was in the one infront of Arundel Castle, shown at 00:19!

  • Did you meet Miranda Richardson too?!

  • so was I!!

  • you tooo?!

  • Seems very, very similar to The Duchess, but Emily Blunt is so amazing I'm sure she can carry the film!

  • In the sense that it's a true, historical story?

  • In my opinion Miranda Richardson is Victoria's mother, so it will be so much better! But I am a bit obsessed!

  • Mark my words,if emily chooses the right projects, she will be nominated for an oscar within the next 3 years, Great actress!

  • Emily Blunt <3 ! :D cant wait to see it :)

  • This movie was filmed near to where I live

  • yes arundel casle were you there

  • This will be the picture that finally brings Rupert Friend the recognition he deserves!

  • Paul Bettany as Lord M-- this gets better and better! By the way, i hope that they don't make Lord M into a 'bad guy' like they did with Robert Dudley in the Elizabeth I. If they do, I will be seriously peeved.

  • What is the first two songs played in this trailer? The Piano one and the one in the middle. I know it's the Love Actually theme that ends it.

  • Can't wait to see this movie... and for my part it is because of Paul Bettany!

  • Finally!

  • Yay! I'm in the scene with the carriage arriving at the castle! :D

  • Its going to be amazing! Such an amazing story... and the acting will be incredible. Im so looking forward...

  • Aw, I can already tell this is gonna be one of those touching but heartbreaking movies. I love the story of Victoria and Albert - can't wait to see this! And Emily looks perfect as Victoria.

  • Emily's accent in this is so sexy!

  • This trailer looks so great! Also, a new movie with Miranda Richardson - YAAAY!!! I am excited!

Thank you so much for posting this! :D

  • Ok so she proposed to him, that's cool. It still managed to be so romantic!

  • Ooh I have been waiting for SO long for this!!

    I love Miranda sooo! <3

  • I keep watching this over and over again! I love it so much! Miranda is a 0:53 sitting sowing! I can't wait for this movie!

  • Could you please add Miranda Richardson to the tags, so it is easier to find this video? Thanks!

  • What is the beautifuk music at the end of the trailer?

  • I think it's from part of the score for Love Actually.

  • Looking forward to this one

  • Thank you so much for uploading this! I cannot wait for this movie! Miranda Richardson will rock in it as Victoria's mother! Love her! I sure hope it comes out in the US!

  • The same for Canada!! :D
