Are you kidding me. Have you watched any of shark week. There was 2 shows that talked about shark attacks. Every person who got attacked had no hatred over the shark that attacked them. One mother had her daughter killed by a shark and she had no hatred over the shark.

Sharks lack intent, and there are a lot more humans than there are sharks. Not to mention the fact that they have no cognitive abilities i.e. they can't think. All they do is react to instinct. Besides, the chances of being attacked by a shark are very slim. Only a handful of people die at their hands every year. Not to mention the fact that Asian cultures slaughter sharks for their fins. You have more people dying from the Flu per year then from sharks.

Sharks are allot smarter then you seem to be giving them credit for. people believe that they are intinct driven, but in fact they do poses very high social, and problem solving skills. There brain to body mass ratio is actually very similar to mammals. Great whites have actually been seen working together to pull dead whales into deeper waters to feed off of it.

It sucks he lost his arm,b ut some good can come out of it. Like any wound from a shark, weather it is a large scar from a bite, with no missing limbs, or loosing your arm, it will be impressive.

Think about it, he could have a friend who lost a arm because he was stupid and put his arm in a lawn mower, while this kid can say "I fought a shark". How impressive is that. The girls will go for him, not the idiot who put his arm in the lawn mower.
