  • good job mang!!!!

  • hey man, can you check out my vid of this solo and time and tell me what you think?

  • hey what kind of setup do you use??

  • Beautifully done!

  • Stop playing and go spackle your drywall. Haha J/K! Sounds awesome man!

  • Thumbs WAYYYY UP! perfect! and i love this solo

  • Comment removed

  • very good.

  • amazing band ! amazing song! amazing solo and you are awesome at playing this stuff

  • ;)

  • Its great but just a little too "perfect". Just too calm I guess

  • I apologise if you've already answered this, but what settings do you use on your POD XT for that wonderful tone?

    Cheers!

  • Dude you rock that was awesome!! Very well done!!

  • Rocking solo man, VERY nicely done. This solo is very hard to play with the proper emotion and I think you nailed it. I would like to see you do it again on a more traditional guitar, ala fender, g&l, etc. You get a more genuine sound, this axe sounds a bit heavy metalish for this track IMHO.

  • 10 people arent old enough to know good music when they hear it.

  • genio

  • fucking nice playing bro, good emotion haha

  • dude dude that is awesome i spend 450 $ to get a Guitar and 2 amp's tuner and i take 5 day's off from my job just i wanna do this but i can't and i still watch it day and night keep going man you're awesome

  • best solo of all times

  • it just seems to be easy but its compleetly walls.

  • loco! el feeling q le metes es genial! felicitaciones!

  • Hey man how are you getting that perfect sound?

  • This song has a solo? This is more wierd than that time i found out In the flesh?/In the fles had solos :S Theyre super easy but soooooooooooooooooooooo awesome...

  • Some of the greatest solos are just very musical and simple. This solo is a prime example of that. It projects a lot of feeling and emotion and that should be the goal of any good artist. A+ to David Gilmour for understanding that. And great job by duey101doing the cover.

  • love it

  • that sound is awesome!!!

    can you send your tone

  • OMG that is greet iam still beginner so can you tell me what kind of AMP R U used

now i have cheap one its crate amd my guitar too its viper keep going

  • Hey duey! Congratulations, You are the closest to Gilmour i've seen so far here

    on the tube.

  • So awesome ... 0_0

  • simple? speak for yourself

  • wow nice

  • I have that shirt!

  • Excellent! Nice!

  • thank youuu... its amazing solo

  • your guitar sounds so nice

  • I was thinking of picking up an AMP 2 because its on the cheaper side, but do you strongly recommend the POD XT instead?

  • just bought my self a Pod X3 Live!

  • are you using an ibanez?..

  • uaaaaaaaaalll very good!!!

  • gets me every time! your guitar sounds awesome, i wish i knew how to play

  • like always great sound great playing

  • what would we have done without you duey thank you for the video lessons keep on playing the guitar

  • IM SUBCRIBING !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • good job man...nice and clear!

  • "But it was only fantasy"

"the wall was to high as you can see"

"no matter how he tried he could no break free"

"and the worms ate into his brain.."

  • Beautiful solo and powerful, yet simple, just like you described it. Great job man.

  • Es Perfecto!

  • sick aldda

  • sweet ..!!

  • I love how it is the same melody as in Another Brick In The Wall, Waiting For The Worms, The Trial etc.

It's like the theme song of the Wall from the film of the same name.

  • I didn't realize how much of this solo comprised of the same note just being bent differently and played at different frequencies :-P

  • I didn't realize how much of this solo comprised of the same note just being bent differently and played at different frequencies :-P

  • I would like a lesson. Nice playing though.

  • niiice

  • awesome!!

  • That sounds beautifull :)))

  • tht was mad good

  • ROCK N ROLL!! that was awesome

  • well done bud

  • it was so good that i exploded in my pants

  • best cover. all the other covers just dont sound good or arent played correctly. most people just switch notes or w/e but they dont bend or anything and they are way to far up the fretboard and it sounds too low

  • i cant find good tabs for this solo anywhere

  • yeah some solos are easy to understand and play...but can you put life and soul into those works of art? Songs are dead unless you put feeling into it, put your very own being into the piece you are playing and it will come to life.

  • very good but im sure you missed the start of the solo ... im sure it starts off with the bass notes then ends up with the crazy bends and stuff ... i may be wrong but thats the way ive been playing it ... your awesome btw :D i liked your another brick in the wall part 2 only one thing though do you know the solo that comes after that solo you done for that ... its definatly on pulseive been trying to learn it by ear but i failed lol

  • Actually that's the way it's played in live versions, specifically from PULSE... the way it's played in this video is how Gilmour played it on the album. Both sound great though :)

  • Pls could u do the lesson for this one cos its awesome and at the end im lost!

  • yo wat settings did you use on your patch? pretty sick tone, i find for the POD stuff it sounds different wen played live to wat you here wen you plug it in for recording

  • I would love a lesson/slow version of this magnificent solo.

  • yo please give me the tabs for the solo please the way i saw u play i was like wtf please i have to learn how to play this send me the tab please

  • Sorry, I don't know how to do tabs, but if you watch it a few times you might be able to figure it out... or maybe I'll have to do a lesson for this one too I guess. :-)

  • thanx man when you make it tell me the name u have really good talent

  • @chargerz363 Just try to watch over and over especially since he takes the time to do a slow version which he absolutely doesn't have to do. When I get super lost I play it over and over and over and over until I have written the whole thing down. Then memorize that slow and come back and play along with him fast. It will work..patience my friend (and trust me, I have none)

  • @chargerz363 go to 911tabs . com for the tabs

  • Please sir. Can I have some more (tabs)?

  • men you got any tab for this solo?

  • that's nice.

  • Great performance. Absolutely best on youtube. Except Gilmour's of course :)

  • dude that is awesome

  • That was awesome!

  • beautifully done , sorry but gilmore makes it look easy , its technically not that hard but the nuances are ... max rating dude keep it up you made me happy today :)

  • Gilmour's solos can be very hard.

  • Gilmore's solos are easy but its hard to put the feeling in your palying like he does, you can hear the emotion from his solos, songs in general.

  • No doubt about it.

  • @MrAlcatrazDick

urmm can you name any easy solo which belongs to gilmour? it takes sever years to learn comofrtably numb and you're calling it easy?

  • personally i think the solo is easy, just from me learning it early into my playing, also alot of my roots and influences are blues and classic rock along the lines of pink floyd or alice cooper

  • @AZARTI5

really, if you practice guitar a lot...you can have Comfortably Numb in 2 months, perfected.

Its not an incredibly hard solo. there is much worse. so compared to those, its pretty easy.

  • tabs man!

  • That was tight

  • hey there duey, i've just started teaching myself how to play guitar, and i was wondering (when i get to the stage) if you'd recommend that gilmour's solos are good ones to start of with, being fairly simple? perhaps this one in particular (seems pretty straight forward to me)just curious to know. great playing, btw.

  • david gilmours solos..most of them..are anything but simple, srry to tell u

  • Yes, I thought I could just blast this one right out, but I was wrong, much harder to do than I thought. I would say all of David's guitar work may sound simple, but when you go to play it you see what kind of skill is required. But, this would probably be on of the easiest ones to learn because it is short. :-)

  • @tourdeforce17 best beginner Gilmour solo is Mother

  • PERFECT

  • Where do you get the background music without David in it?

  • Makes the hair on my neck stand up...awesome sound...man how I wish I coudl play...

  • hey bro, i just want to tell you that you made my day, i have alot of stress in my life right now and you playing relaxed me, thanks you rule.

  • dude this is great... not only is this awesome to listen to and watch but its really helping me practice this solo... i can see every note your play, lol.

    Thanks so much!

  • molto bello! very nice!

  • Excellent! I had no idea this solo was so simple.. I'm going to try it.

  • I too would like to see "Coming Back To Life" No doubt you'll nail it. The best on the net. Thanks duey.

  • thats a strat right? and also wat kind of pickups do you have in that badboy?

  • It is a Charvel Charvette and I have a DiMarzio Dual Sound in the bridge and I just put a new YJM single coil in the neck which you can hear in the last two videos I made. My guitar is incredibly nice to play and I bought it in a 2nd store in Thailand when I was on holiday, it cost me $150.00. Best guitar I have ever had.

  • now i have to listen to pink floyd ŁoŁ

    you're awesome.

    i mean seriously.

you're in a band or something?

that is so so so super amazing.

  • No band, just like to play guitar. Thanks!

  • wow amazing^^

  • awesome! sorry if you already have but you should put a tutorial of how to play hey you. like the whole song and stuff. that would be AWESOMER!!

  • hey dude you totally nailed it ...great JOb!!!!!! i would really liek to see "coming Back to life" coming out from your guitar.........

  • Ok, I will see about doing that one too, right now I am working on Marooned.

  • oh, yeah! i love this song; great peace of solo. curious about your video. donated yesterday some bux. THANX for your work

  • PLEASE TAB!!!!

  • he puts these videos up so you can learn it without a tab.

  • muy bueno muchas gracias =D

  • hey man what gauge strings are you using? im guessing lights(9s) but i just wanna make sure cuz youre bending those strings without any effort at all!

  • D'Addario XL110 (0.10-0.46). It takes some finger strength to bend like that. :-)

  • dam, good job then lol you got pretty strong fingers there!!!

  • You're soo right. I once tried a 0.10 set of strings and my finger tips hurted soooo hard when I first bended that I had to restring the hole thing again. I once heard SRV used 0.13!!! that's just sick if true.

  • Thanks! ;0) Great Job!

  • its great man, just amazing. I realy like it. if you could do slow version of this please, im trying to get it down and you seem the best playng it. thanks very much

  • Great! Five stars,

Can You Show the initial arpeggios of Hey You on your lessons?

    thanks

  • I don't know how to play that yet. I'll put that on my list. :-)

  • Amazing!

  • quem sabe

    sabe mesmo;

    d+

    d+

    d+

    d+

    d+

  • BUT IT WAS ONLY FANT UUHH SEEEE!!

  • I'm sure David would be well impressed to hear this!!!!

  • Omgs. You are fabulous.

  • i'm looking for the tabs(only this solo part).if you have can you send me?

  • Good solo, but not as strong and free flowing as some of your other performances imo.... "Comfortably numb" is still my favorite solo of yours :) still cool though, shine on :)

  • This is amazing. What a guitarist

  • holy crap i need lessons from u lol nice

  • Phenomenal again. So great to see this.

  • Your version? hehe sounds like Dave's version....that sounded great! Sounded like right on the money to me.

    Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks, much appreciated. Money is next.

  • I like the video editing software you have. Good job on the solo too bro.

  • Thanks. I use Adobe Premiere CS4 and After Effects, really works well and the media encoder exports perfect HD videos that YouTube likes so the quality comes out good, ans this HD video was only 39 megs.

  • ecelent , perfect !!! pink floydd whauuu
