But works are important,not to be saved but out of graditude for what God has done. Like it says also faith without works is dead. The Gospel of John says in John 14:7 " If you had known Me you would have known my Father also; Henceforth you have know Him and have seen Him". and in the letter to the Philippians Chapter 2:5-8. In regards to the verse, Ezra, Uzayr or Uzair was a Prophet of God (pbuh). For the Jew, he is greatly admired google it. I agree this 1 God business might sound crazy in today's time, but I ask you to look back at early Christian history. Some early sects believed as Muslims do that Jesus(pbuh) was in fact ONLY a messenger of God like all others before him. However, it was at the First Council of Nicaea that the official doctrine of Christianity become ratified. This become known as the Pauline Christianity and all other ideas were crushed. So in summary, Islam is not new or strange just a renewed option 4 people.

@abraheem81 All Christians sects believed that Jesus was the Messiah and son of God. They differed on the nature of Christ as son of God and son of Man. The Arians believed Jesus was divine but not equal to the Father. The First Council of Nicea officially defined Jesus' nature as being fully human and fully divine. Jesus, the Son of God is of the same essence as the Father. He is God from God, Light from Light, begotten and not made. This is the faith of Peter and the Church founded by Christ.

For any religion to be sound it must be complete in its teachings by the time its founder is dead. However, the disagreements on the PILLARS or foundations of the religion continued even after the Council of Nicaea with Constantine son. Google it!
