@lukestermnac acuatlly, I think after gohan got married with videl, he and videl did more stuff together and gohan stopped training and because chi chi always wanted him to be a scholar as a kid, he probably didnt do as much training and lost like 3/4 of his power. and if they make a new dragon ball, it will never be as good as dbz. well my take on it is that since the end of the buu saga gohan lost his mystic powers or simply they became dormant again from his lack of training that probably why he can turn into a super saiyan again

Toriyama was against goham being the hero because he felt that compared to goku, Gohan was ultimately not suited for tge role to end it. Gohan getting weaker is false, in the GT Perfect Files it Clearly States that Gohan kept Training after Boo and learned how to access SS in his Ultimate Form. So GT Gohan is a good deal stronger than his Z self.
I mean if we try to directly relate DBZ to GT then we must assume that Gohan lost his ultimate powers because they were not permenant or something(WTF) and can now use his old biological super Saiyan powers. WHich in DBZ he could not do after the magic forced upgrade. So Gohan at base (no-magic or anger power up) is actually stronger in GT however remember this is relative to Gohan when he is magic powered up or anger power so relative to that he looks weaker.
To address this video because I thought it was going to be funny. GT is non-cannon and should not be related with DBZ directly because it doesn't make sense when you do that. Just take it is parrallel universe or some kinda what if.

Once gohan became ssj2, he looked happy and angry. I always liked Gohan better than Goku because he fights better when he wants too.
What your saying doesn't invalidate what I am saying, you are just missing the point of relativity. Gohan could have trained, could not have trained but if he did not train very hard then he would not be as strong as you would expect him to be in the future. Example proportional future strength compared to other characters. Again, this makes perfect sense and is seen over and over again in dragon ball universe.

1.Mystic Form is a permanent transformation, Gohan is constantly in that state and cannot go back, now if he stopped training and grew weaker, he would still be mystic, he cannot undo the transformation.

IMO toei can fix this error (let's face it, is one of the most hatred inconsistences) in a very simple way: recolour gohans hairs and eyes in black (shape isn't a problem since mystic is just as ssj save for black hairs and eyes) just as for the goku/pikkon vs hell villains, where goku ssj hairs where recoloured 4 fix a plothole

actually, Akira Toriyama has gone on record stating that child of a Saiyan will likely become stronger then his parents, regardless of amount of Saiyan blood, or something around those lines.

But ssj3 goku was still > ultimate gohan

What some people don't know is that the Buu saga was supposed to be focused on Gohan fighting off and defeating the Buu's while Goku stayed dead and out of the picture. Since so many people went ape shit over that, the creator changed how it was originally going to be done to what we have today. Honestly, I'd be ok with Gohan as a main focus instead of Goku, because Gohan's the strongest in the universe.

In the Buu saga, I think SS2 Goku and Vegeta were stronger than SS2 Gohan, if only because Gohan never trained to his potential. Mystic Gohan was definitely stronger than either of them at SS2 and maybe stronger than Goku at SS3.

GT isn't canon. It isn't based on the manga which Toriyama created and no matter how much you want to believe he created it he didnt. While I am no expert on how much he did participate, it doesnt matter, he may have liked it, may have overseen in, but he did not strictly create it, and since the manga is what this is all based off of, and this has no manga, its not canon. Its a long movie, and those aren't canon either

@VansFTW1 Agree'd, GT and the movies are considered alternate universes. But Toriyama was involved in GT and he considers it a grand side story so it's more of an alternate universe like the movies are. The main canon is within DB/DBZ and the manga DB.

I mean if we try to directly relate DBZ to GT then we must assume that Gohan lost his ultimate powers because they were not permenant or something(WTF) and can now use his old biological super Saiyan powers. WHich in DBZ he could not do after the magic forced upgrade. So Gohan at base (no-magic or anger power up) is actually stronger in GT however remember this is relative to Gohan when he is magic powered up or anger power so relative to that he looks weaker.

To address this video because I thought it was going to be funny. GT is non-cannon and should not be related with DBZ directly because it doesn't make sense when you do that. Just take it is parrallel universe or some kinda what if.
-Also Gohan does not get weaker because that is a relative term if you apply it to DBZ(should not) he just does not get stronger which Goku and V are getting stronger along with everyone else not training hard so yeah.

What your saying doesn't invalidate what I am saying, you are just missing the point of relativity. Gohan could have trained, could not have trained but if he did not train very hard then he would not be as strong as you would expect him to be in the future. Example proportional future strength compared to other characters. Again, this makes perfect sense and is seen over and over again in dragon ball universe.

1.Mystic Form is a permanent transformation, Gohan is constantly in that state and cannot go back, now if he stopped training and grew weaker, he would still be mystic, he cannot undo the transformation.
2.After the 10 year time gap, its never specified that Gohan stopped training, there for saying he did is a mere assumption.
3. If your basing things off of GT, thats a mistake, the whole series is full of things that contradicted events and or facts of dbz.

That said, Gohan was the only one born with a natural talent beyond his fathers. He pretty much reached that limit after cell arc, Ultimate gohan just unlocked his remaining dormant energy and brought it out and added it to his ssj2 power all in base state. But ssj3 goku was still > ultimate gohan

What some people don't know is that the Buu saga was supposed to be focused on Gohan fighting off and defeating the Buu's while Goku stayed dead and out of the picture. Since so many people went ape shit over that, the creator changed how it was originally going to be done to what we have today. Toriyama in an official interview states that he felt that compared to goku, Gohan was ultimately not suited for the hero role to end the series after he beat cell. Goku is and always was intended to be the final hero of the series. Gohan was a given for only cell arc who's only desire was to become a scholar.

In the Buu saga, I think SS2 Goku and Vegeta were stronger than SS2 Gohan, if only because Gohan never trained to his potential. Mystic Gohan was definitely stronger than either of them at SS2 and maybe stronger than Goku at SS3.

@OrgodemirDQ7 The overall script was written by Toei but who's to say he didn't help at with the plot? Toriyama states that he did give Toei story advice. So we know a bit of tge script was helped out by him. Plus to determine if something is canon or not. The creator has to state it. That's the whole point of it

gohan has showed that he's stronger than is father, but goku is the center of the anime, the most popular caracter......for that reason,during the time gohan has been made less strong by the creators of the manga/anime......... i think so, but you can disagree with my opinion ;)

He's pretty much exactly as strong as he was in the Buu saga which is as strong as Goku's ssj3 form.
The enemies got stronger and he didn't that's pretty much why he looks like such a pansy in GT. He's still wicked strong, just not the strongest or 2nd strongest any more.

GT isn't canon. It isn't based on the manga which Toriyama created and no matter how much you want to believe he created it he didnt. While I am no expert on how much he did participate, it doesnt matter, he may have liked it, may have overseen in, but he did not strictly create it, and since the manga is what this is all based off of, and this has no manga, its not canon. Its a long movie, and those aren't canon either

@UltraNumb Its not a contest, Im not telling you what to like, but I can feel free to say what my opinion is. So can you, I mean Im not sure why you took my dislike of the series personally but thats cool I guess that you called me out. But in my experience the general opinion among my friends (so only speaking for myself) is that GT is garbage. Maybe to your friends its a great series. Does it matter?

@VansFTW1 Agree'd, GT and the movies are considered alternate universes. But Toriyama was involved in GT and he considers it a grand side story so it's more of an alternate universe like the movies are. The main canon is within DB/DBZ and the manga DB.

@Renshi52 no he never said that. I have no clue where u got ur information but it's wrong :/. Toriyama helped create GT. He supervised it. He just relied on Toei to create the story mainly because he was tired of Writing DB. Toriyama calls it a grand side story so it's more of an alternate universe.

@KidDynasty12 chi chi was just being a mother and helping him fulfill his dream, if you read gohans character bios it states his lifelong dream is to become a scholar. If gohan did not like the idea of a scholar, he would have standed up for himself and told his mother he isn't interested, the only reason why he fought in Z was because he loves his family very much and wanted to protect the earth. Other than that, gohan's mind is constantly thinking "fuck fighting"
