The Cobra 2000 is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be, simply put. If you have not already, get that readio peaked & fine tuned. Get that D-104 on a bench to reach it's maximum sensitivity level and then you will be really talking. I have not owned a Cobra 2000, but I have heard so much about them. I have owned a Ranger RCI-6300 F-Turbo w/a 750 Watt Amp built in line w/the radio, making it an RCI-6300 F-750 Turbo, I talked over a 1K watts. KGE-7432/SSB-139L
Yeah I know all about it, that's what amplifiers are for! Power is not where it's at, signal quality and modulation quality is where it's at and this radio has both.
