@antoines72 We call it "monkey diving"... side mount in shallow water. It's a bit faster than back mount when scootering and feels more comfortable in the water.
@GorCancio That's true, but we find scooters are a great help for getting many good shots across a reef. You scooter to a good spot, clip-off the scooter, the take pictures or video... scooter to the next interesting spot, etc. The fish pop back out as soon as you park the scooter. I don't think it's the scooter noise or EMF that scares the fish, it's the fast motion... we look like big predators.
@man41God You will have to start with some basic underwater training/certification on one hand. On another you have to learn some digital photography. Than there are courses for underwater photography.

Scooters are noisy. Notice that there are not that many fish when the scooters are in motion. They hide in the rocks when they hear the DPV's.

These are X-scooters which cost about US$4,000. You can adjust the prop pitch and/or use the handle to "click shift" to different speeds.
