  • why the hell are they side mounting in open water!?

  • @antoines72 We call it "monkey diving"... side mount in shallow water. It's a bit faster than back mount when scootering and feels more comfortable in the water.

  • Scooters are noisy. Notice that there are not that many fish when the scooters are in motion. They hide in the rocks when they hear the DPV's.

  • @GorCancio That's true, but we find scooters are a great help for getting many good shots across a reef. You scooter to a good spot, clip-off the scooter, the take pictures or video... scooter to the next interesting spot, etc. The fish pop back out as soon as you park the scooter. I don't think it's the scooter noise or EMF that scares the fish, it's the fast motion... we look like big predators.

  • @man41God You will have to start with some basic underwater training/certification on one hand. On another you have to learn some digital photography. Than there are courses for underwater photography.

Contact me for more detailed info.

  • that is so cool. those scooters are probably quite expensive ey?

    they look preety sweet!!!

so can u control the power and stuuf? like a throttle? or is it at a constant speed?

    very nice vid

  • These are X-scooters which cost about US$4,000. You can adjust the prop pitch and/or use the handle to "click shift" to different speeds.

  • ahh cheers.

    that's pretty sick!
