A know a lot of people who bought Android phones just because they were on sale with new contracts. They don't use the app store and other things that Android has to offer (not that Android Marketplace is any good to begin with... unfortunately).

When it comes to Apple, people buy iPhones and iPads knowing what the App Store offers, iTunes and other iStuff. So... when it comes to $, Apple is still making more money.
