  • shut up dude

  • Excellent. Maybe you'll have better luck writing to Ira Glass.

  • Anyone else think he sounds like Sheldon Cooper from Big Bang Theory at around 1:21, 2:13, 2:21, 2:45, 3:10, and 3:58?

  • Dude, you could maybe have SHUT THE FU!@ UP for ten seconds and allowed us to hear the game sound! Other than that, thanks for the post!

  • @mikper7 Lol

  • @mikper7 Wahhhhhhhhhhhh.

  • ¨best song wen plaing missile command is tom sawyer!

  • Seminal, eh? As in semen hm? Coulda just said "influential" or something so the kids can understand :/ Great job, I think I have no choice but to subscribe.

  • I was obsessed with the low ammo warning in this game when I was a kid. I discovered that the triple beep sounds like the first three notes from the bass line from the song "Another One Bites The Dust," and a friend of mine told me that the song applies to the game because saying "another one bites the dust" can mean that you shoot a weapon and miss the target.

  • RRTTR!

  • Might FantaVision for ps2 be a successor?

  • That and "LazerBlazer Intercept" from Super Scope 6, and for that matter any light gun game.

  • I also await the day Ronald Reagan calls upon Gabe Kaplan to defend us from the Evil Empire.

  • Missile Command did, in fact, have a sequel called Liberator, which was very different in many ways but had a similar play mechanic. Liberator was also the only game that I am aware of that mentions Atari Force that were usually seen in the comic books that came packaged with Atari 2600 cartridges.

  • As I was born in the 90's I missed all of these classics; I find your stories very amusing and entertaining, keep up the good work.

  • well written, amusing evocative script. keep the talking!

red lines on blue backdrop with a nice dazzling yellow "desert" below... no wonder you died on that last level.

  • I enjoy your stories much more than simple game footage. Thanks for sharing.

  • God, this is my alltime favorite game. I started playing it in the eighties, when I was 14. Took me a long time to master but when I did I could keep a game going for hours. Best game ever!

  • You sure do better at Missile Command than I ever did. I lose all my cities after 3 or 4 screens!

  • Very interesting insight and personality. Thanks for sharing.

  • Engaging essay matched with groovy music. Jmac's 8-bit style is unstoppable.
