  • Needs a cam. And lose the mystery van exhaust. Doesn't go with the motif of the car.

  • @TheChris I'm pretty sure it was 1981.

  • Does anyone know what year they started putting computer chips in camaros? Do 79's have any sort of computer in them?

  • "nothing special"

    Ha! smexi ass classic car

    sidepipes streetlegal? ._.

  • =)

In Holland they are street legal, but can imagine that in some other country's they are not or only legal at LH side.

  • yes in North America there illegal for street use for a number of reasons :(

  • What reasons?? Just wondering....

  • well they are pretty much straight pipes so they violate noise laws, not to mention polution. With stock exhaust on most new cars, they have a catalytic converter which basically removes certain poisonous chemicals from the exhaust gasses and there are also bends in the exhaust system for the noise by bouncing off of the curves to reduce, dicipate or cancel themselves out with.

  • Ah I see, thats a real shame. They used to put them on the big block Corvettes of the 1960's and I was hoping to see them again someday....

  • Well you can do straight piping and side exhausts but even with catalytic converters and silencers its still going to be too far above the noise decibel limit to be legal on public roads. You can build or keep one in your garage, at a mechanics garage or at a farm and drive it on private property. Also you are allowed to drive it on tracks or if you're at a car show if it you wanted to use it as show queen but you would still have to use a hitched trailer to get it to those places.

  • Well thats mildly to moderatly annoying.... >:T

  • Bullshit, around where I live no one cares what exhaust you have. I've ran open headers several times.

  • well you're lucky cause on the highway between my city and Toronto, dozens of people get pulled over for having too loud of a car. Cops can and do give out those tickets because it helps them meet their quota and they are douchey about it. You're lucky to be getting away with just headers though, on public streets thats a series of safety hazards, noise pollution and infracts emission by-laws. Where are you from? here they'd likely tow and impound your car or leanient cops issue a fix it ticket.

  • From the deep south. Absolutely no emissions checks here. The cops actually give me a thumbs up around here as long as your not speeding. It must suck to live where you do. I could never live there.

  • im from canada lol. i dont enjoy the weather but other than that everythings nice.

  • Yes, I have Gabriel hijackers installed on the Camaro. They are not that expensive, let your father buy a new pair or just regular shocks (better).

I haven`t made the vid to show of; someone I visited filmed it, and sent it to me.

I`m taking care of my engine at the moment, will swap this original engine with a slightly modificated Vette engine and make a full movie of the car with it`s new engine; this was only a simple vid of someone I visited.

  • NIce man, check out my video

  • NICE!

  • Had one just like it except in white. Geez, I wish I would have just rebuilt the front suspension instead of selling it.
