  • good tutorial^^

  • @ninjalord24 dont waste ur time on what ur doing u need to download a vst

  • @ninjalord24 i have the lex raise synth. if you dont know what im talking about i use it aloy in my new beats here on youtube

  • where'd you get all those effects...im in search for some...links perhaps?

  • lmfao, all these dumbasses, :P gotta love it when they guy who made the vid and knows what he is doing get pestered by retarded fucks who just want to get some attention. :P yo thnx for the info though. this will help me out alot :P before this i was only using a kick for the sidechain effect. lmfao

  • What other cool trick in fruity loops?

  • Great trippy lead sounds :P

  • allen0088 <<<<<

U have to un-check the (FX) in the bottom of the mixer wich is under the ( Platinium saw ) .. try this and it`ll be done ... thx HadOffLab for the tut .. it`s awsome and more helpful :)

  • @Love1story dude... theres a reply button ya know...

  • thnx! i will apply this to vocals for a effect!

  • cool now all i have to do is smoke crack to keep up with everything u clicked on

  • nice way to gate sound ;d

  • It's stupid that we have to use sth like that instead of a gate effect :S

  • took me awhile to finally get it right, and it turned out pretty good (y).

  • help plz, how do u shrink the piano roll notes to that duration? mine only goes to 1 box.

  • when you're in the piano roll change the "snap to grid" to (1/2 step)... It's the box to the right of the speaker. Hope this helps. Peace

  • @Apoc5055

if you hold down the Alt key while adjusting the notes lenght it wont snap to the grid at all (works on other places in LF studio aswell)

  • thanks. just upgraded to fruity loops 9, much better piano roll.

  • LF studio lol Loops are Fruity xD

  • @sharingan9000

    Missplacement of the letters x)

But "Loopy Fruits" sounds good aswell. Sounds like a bunch of bananas spinning around

  • It doesnt work. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong. it looks like you're linking channel 3(sytrus) with channel 3's peak controller, wtf? did I miss something?

  • btw, its actually sidechaining what you do, youve could explain what yo actually did.

  • Sidechain is the contrary, this is called GATE, the gate send a signal that enable the sound, the sidechain send a signal that suppress the sound, to make it simple

  • @Inmateshardstyle its not sidechain

  • @DJDrumrolls Thanks for letting me know one year after....

  • yo my version d is fl studio 8 xxl but it doesnt hav that fruity 3x thing that you picked so it would go with the platnum saw, can you please help

  • Try to select more (ADD) and watch in the generators, maybe the 3xOSC is only disabled

  • impossible. 3xosc is standard in fruityloops. unless you deleted, dissabled it it is in fl.

  • thanks dude

  • Very helful tutorial thanks!

  • Stupid. You could have saved yourself a lot of time and cpu by just giving the sytrus melody the same rhythm as the 3xosc plugin.

  • First of all the stupid are you, because even don't know what the GATING is and why putting the 3xOSC notes on the Sytrus channel it doesn't sound like with the gating, and for the CPU usage, have you ever try the 3xOS?, Is know for his tremendous CPU usage especially with the initial patch, there is a research made by the CERN about that

  • Ah, yes, the stupid are me.

  • Lmao

  • @Tonloc93 Actually, he's right. I'll try to explain it a little better. When you gate, it only cuts a streaming sound. Where as playing a sound in that rhythm wil include the attack of the note, and basically reset the sonic progress of that note. Gating gives the sensation of rhythmic muting, and is a very desired effect. Think of it like any other instrument. If you strum a guitar and then strum it again, it doesnt sound the same as strumming a guitar once and then tapping the channel mute.

  • @Tonloc93 yeah dude i'm a newb but even i know you're fucking retarded

  • @UltimateWalrus There are plenty of instances where this technique is useful. This is not one of them. Have fun staying a newb.

  • is there a way of gating a sample?

  • works the same way...load it into your sampler and let the peak controller control the velocity of your sample

  • Just remember to load a long sample and add an effects like reverb or a delay after the Peak Controller to add some "release" to the sample

  • k mate i will,thnx for tips =]

  • superb mate helped alot :)

  • i messed up somewhere cuz it works backwards

  • check if the ramp is in the same direction as the video shows (ramp up) in the Mapping Forumla box

  • its playing the 3xosc pattern instead of the gate effect :/

  • Because you have to insert the Peak Controller (with the MUTE highlighted) to the 3xOSC mixer channel

  • Thank you! this is great!

  • Thanks for the vid!

  • Thanks! That helped!

  • This video helped me a lot thx:)

  • Hm i knew this already. 2 yars ago almost.. XD

Anyway, now in FL Studio 8 you've got the 'Create Sequence' function, also usable in the Love Philter.

  • This technique exist from ages, I've only do a video for the Lemon Boy Tutorial :)

I don't think that the Love Philter can be flexible like the "manual" gating

  • I wouldn't say that. It's just a bit different i think.

  • original idea. Never though of that!

  • The original idea came from the Lemon Boy tutorial

  • Lemon boy... i remember him from years back! :)

Is he still around... nice !

  • please help, for some reason, i can't make my notes that small manually in the piano roll as you did for the 3xosc please help ...

  • you have to chenge the snap grid quantization. In the piano roll there are a grid like icon (the last icon on the top left of the piano roll), press on it with the right button of the mouse and select 1/2 step (or another one, like 1/4 for more "precision"), that's all

  • hey thanks! okay but somehow i hear the kick from the 3xosc only once i complete everything... in mixer the peak controller is on the sytrus, please help

  • The kick of the 3xOSC? o_O

The peak controller must be set in the gater, in this case the gater is the 3xOSC (you can use another one, but the 3xOSC have the minimum CPU usage). First you have to do the melody line for the Sytrus (or another VSTi) and after connect it with the peak controller to the volume of the channel, or of the mixer or of a parametric EQ

  • ok i think i see the problem in the step sequencer the volume for the platimum saw is all the way down...but when i turn it up and press play...the volume goes back down automatically? please help

  • ok when i got to link to controller,in the remote control settings the options i have under the internal controller are(none), (peak ctrl synth string-platinium saw-peak+LFO),(peak ctrl synth string-platinium saw- peak),and(peak ctrl synth string- platinum saw- LFO) i don't have the same option as you have because your option in your remote control settings have under internal controller you have (peak ctrl 3xosc-peak+LFO),etc. is this the cause of prob? i've done exactly everything in the video

  • lol

I've say that you MUST put the peak controller in the gater, the gater is the 3xOSC and not the Sytrus, so you have to delete the peak controller assigned to the Sytrus and open a new peak controller in the mixer channel of the 3xOSC, if you don't do that you can't control the Systrus, because the Sytrus can't control itself

  • ok i think i see the problem in the step sequencer the volume for the platimum saw is all the way down...but when i turn it up and press play...the volume goes back down automatically? cause me to only here the kick from the 3xosc. how do i fix this?

  • Is impossible to get that the sound go down when the gater is in function with the default mapping formula, maybe you don't put in play the melody line and the gater in the same time, also the 3xOSC is set in mute, and is impossible that you can hear the sound with the peak controller, if you can't understand how to set it open the tutorial Gate effect in FL Studio: Projects--->Tutorial, and watch how it works, especially the channel 3 and the first synth volume controller

  • hmm i get no sound for some reason after putting in peak controller..

  • In the Peak Controller there are a little orange led, in the bottom right, is the MUTE, click on it and disable the mute to hear the sound :)

  • sorry the other tip is for the sideshain (to hear the kick), for the gating you must put the Peak Controller in the 3xOsc channel mixer insert (in this case the gater), if you put it on the synth that you want to use it don't work, if is not this try to increase the volume value (VOL) or decreasing the decay (DEC) or try some combination, also for work you have to assign the PEAK to the volume and not the LFO

  • esaudiente ;D i tuoi tutorial sono molto utili!!!!
