This hymn kept a friend's dad alive in a very terriible and threatening situation. He sang this hymn to himself while there was danger all around him, until he was able to get out of this situation. This is an example of the power of something as simple as a hymn. SIng this to yourself when you feel you are in danger.

I loved this song as a little girl. I would sit in church and think of my cousin Carol, when the words " the birds their carols raise"., were sung.Now as an adult I find the truth and beauty of this song is when we are out in God's creation,, we see the wonders of his handprint everywhere and rejoice.
