From a point of view of a European, quite a lot really. He's signed a treaty to close gitmo, and put a date on the withdrawal from Iraq. Furthermore, you can't expect, as a normal citizen, to notice anything changing within the first month of a legislator's term. That's just plain ignorant. Bills have to be passed, the democratic process is slow. If you expect it to work in a month with a COMPLETELY new government, you're bound to be disappointed.

The new health care bill, for instance, is an attempt to help the American people, even though you're too busy being paranoid to actually notice how universal health care has helped other nations.

The new health care bill has done nothing besides ruin everything our medical system stands for right now. I know this because both my parents and sisters are doctors and even now, before the bill has passed, have already had their wages cut despite there still not being doctors in the field.

Yes he can, I know you aren't american so I don't know if you knew about FDR's approach to the great depression, but he wasn't implementing health care plans that have made already scarce doctors quit before its even been enacted, but he's spending money on things that don't give the Americans jobs. You are correct, he can't help that America is lazy (I am currently employed), but he can help those that aren't, and he could slash welfare to take away laziness.

You are right that jobs should be created, but that should happen by the Chinese, who should use the debet they have on you and spend it, instead of devaluating their own currency all the time.
The health care issue is not an economical, but an ethical issue.
