This is the most retarded idea. It's not only invasion of privacy and, to some religions, the "Mark of the Beast AKA 666," but it opens up so many doors for ID theives rather than preventing it.

Example: Anything digital can be cracked and is not foolproof. Say I want to steal someone's ID, SSN, security clearance, what-have-you.... I go to the local emergency room and steal one of the readers. (easier than most would think) Then go to a crowed area and start scanning people w/o them knowing.
