there is another way to make these bracelets where you don't need super glue. If you put the thread back through the bead after looping around the string, it will stay in place ...
@Mooshu850 The glue should be applied where the bottom of the bead meets the leather - this will help prevent your beads from bulging out. Hope this helps and thanks for the kind words!
@Linoliscious Hello! I do have an Etsy shop but don't sell any of these bracelets. However, many other Etsy sellers do as well as stores like Forever 21 which has at least one for under $10 :)
@ssmL91 Thank you! I got my leather cord from eBay because I wanted a metallic color, but you can get black or brown leather pretty readily at Michael's. Beads & Nymo thread from BeadsDirectUSA and floss threader from Walmart - hope this helps!
@ssmL91 I got the Czech Bead Faceted Rounds - the silver ones are gorgeous! And so are the bronze :) (I can't seem to post links here but they are easy to find on their website).
@BeyondBracelets Hello! It's not really a needle. It's actually a dental floss threader - it works really nicely because the shape doesn't deform like a typical beading needle and it's very easy to thread :)
@BeyondBracelets It's a plastic tool used to floss when you have braces! I only noticed because I used them all the time when I had them but it's actually a really good idea to use them for this!
@Vi0lentSerenity So sorry for the late reply! I never use the adequate amount of Nymo for this bracelet since it makes it so much harder to work with. I usually just tie a normal knot to add more length and then also add a drop of superglue to the knot to make sure it holds. Hope this helps! :)
@SewPetiteGal this is pretty much where i'm at now, i've untangled this thread twice and i just can't keep it straight, i have a slightly larger wrist and i'm trying to do a 5 wrap so my string is really really long, i'm using wildfire beading thread, does anyone have any tips on keep the string from getting tangle or should i just use less and tie on as i go?
@chicklebird So sorry for the late reply! I always just use less and add on as I go. Using a long length of thread gives me too many tangles to deal with. Just knot and add a drop of glue to secure when you add on.
No Audio makes this video less than great. The visuals, however, are helpful and splendid so thanks for that. Perhaps next time some audio would be considered? How long the cord? What's the initial knot? etc. Thank you for posting this on YouTube!
@Ziggy3339 Sorry, I just don't like my voice. I might be able to make hubby do a voice over next time. The detailed instructions are on my blog (the video was just meant to be supplemental to the post)
thanks, i was finally able to open blog for list of materials. if u mentioned on video, i can't hear it becuz there seems to be no audio when I watch it.
@akikochan1980 so sorry for the delay in response! My youtube emails keep going into my junk email for some reason. Glad you were able to open the blog. No audio in this vid bc I don't like the sound of my voice :)

@SewPetiteGirl, where should I apply the glue at exactly? And also, is it ok to glue when I'm done with the bracelet?
Nice tutorial btw! :)

@TheAlliytee Yeah, I'm pretty amused. I never had braces before (never really needed them) so I had no idea what it was haha. It's an ingenious idea.

You should be going back through the top of the bead so the string doesn't show.
