@FuLLMetALJackET308 Thanks! Sounds like you had fun! bTW, don't worry about the extra shots... I always tell my self "I came to shoot my gun anyway, more trigger time is better" :)
@violet0313 I believe it has something to do with how much metal is making contact on the engagement points. A light trigger is probably gonna have less metal on metal and there fore wear faster than more metal on metal. I figure its kinda like a razor blade compared to a kitchen knife. That razor is thin and will dull fast as compared to a kitchen knife.... However, I am no expert on the sear hammer trigger job, so I am only making an assumption why they do not last. But I heard they do not.
Its like comparing apples and oranges. They are both very different. I like the feel of the 92FS over the Glock, but I dislike the de-cocker on the 92FS and like the lack of one on the Glock.
You should shoot with whatever you have. You will get good with no matter what you shoot. I started with a Beretta 92FS (stock GI issue). Eventually I was able to afford something else from another shooter buying a new gun. However I still shoot the Beretta. The big cost now seems to be the ammo ever since prices have gone so high.
thats true but a good competitor and a good gun will really make you good in the range,.i have my 1911 standard 9mm gi also..92fs is one of the most reliable gun ive heard coz no matter what ammo you put into it it simply fires...regardless if its a reload or not...but for you my brother you have a two thumbs up from me....thanx and keep it up i simply idolize you..
Thanks for the compliment. But I truely beleive that the gun does not make that much difference until you reach a certain ability. Once you've got to that level, then your gear becomes more of a factor. As you can see I'm a firm beleiver in actually shooting than in all the after market gizmos you can add to your gun. for your 1911, I bet the best thing you can do to it for now is get a nice trigger job done to it if you do not have one already.
The gun I used in this video is an STI EDGE in 40S&W. STI has a website if you want to look at their guns. The information section of the video will have detailed info about the particular videos that I post. Be sure and check them out for more info.

nice shooting nick, may i ask how many lbs is your trigger pull on your edge, i just bought one :)
violet0313 7 months ago
@violet0313 Thanks! I think its about 3 pounds or slightly less. The lighter the pull the shorter the life span of the trigger.
nictaylor00 7 months ago
@nictaylor00 oh i didn't know that, how does it affect the life span?

i use a sw mp 9mmL for production nice gun

I like the M&P too. However I have a Beretta 92F that I shoot in production so I'm having a hard time justifying getting an M&P.
