Truth is Noel would just be floggin a dead horse if he continied with Oasis, they had nowhere to go, they had done it all and reached their peak, and as a result the band restricted Noel's creativity in doing something different and taking a turn for the better. Oasis should have packed it in 10 yrs ago after be here now, so noel couldve released solo albums all of that time, bringing a breath of fresh air rather than same old oasis songs. They are great but they neva sound different. Noel can.

I agree it's a dark tune. In fact I believe the entire album (Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants) is obscure and instrospective in many ways. Even the B-Sides are brilliant. This era would be the darkest Oasis got so far (like a huge comedown from 90's coke and parties) and I kinda like it.
