Just to name a few - lost the 100 year war against France, were conquered by Denmark & renamed Danelaw, the Dutch came up the Themes and burned down ur navy in probably the most humiliating naval defeat in modern history. & Napolean was stopped b4 Waterloo at which he was actually an escaped convict.
