  • this vid is stupid, you need to pay for your parents for medicaid,or they are going to be living with you Jackass

  • @daddio4u2 It was Social Security mentioned in the video, not Medicaid. Social Security is a cash benefit paid to the elderly. Medicare is health insurance for the elderly. Medicaid is a health insurance program for those under retirement age. The person who uploaded the video mentioned at no time in the video that she would be opposed to taking care of her parents in their golden years.

  • @RW00632 All social safety nets could and should be funded with surplus but it all goes back to sound money. I'm not against SS and I dont think any of this is funny. I have paid into the system for over 35 years and I wont see a dime of it. So what is the answer? Keep doing what we have been doing and expect a different out come?

I am all about finding a solution.

  • @RW00632 I was in referrence to why the US is in the financial trouble it is in. But what do I know. I just live day to day within this illusion. So since we have been living outside the constitution for the last 100 years or better, why not, for shits and giggles give it a shot and see what happens.

Sound Money is the issue. America has to come first. For America to come first it must follow it's Constitution. It is all about money. And who prints the money? From thin air backed by what?

  • Excellent upload..Ron Paul for president 2012..or we can just throw the towel in and let these brainwashed sheep get what their masters have for them..It's so funny to see them all point fingers at eachother over their favorite criminals..and they get NOTHING but the shaft..more money stolen from them..and a beautiful police state ALL FOR THEM TO..how special they are lol America is Rome burning all over again..this generation in control should be ashamed of themselves..BTW you are gorgeous..(:

  • You're beautiful, kid. Good robot. Sorry you're oblivious to help. Bye.

  • Don't worry, Kate! Social Security will be there for you for generations to come. Google "CNBC Will Baby Boomers Bankrupt Social Security?" The answer is a firm no. Furthermore, with an unstable market no one can predict their financial health in coming decades. You can get rich in the USA and also become poor by financial collapse or catastrophic illness or injury. As one who knows, I must warn you not to be smug with your present fair circumstances--that can change.

  • @grubelsucht You do realize the recent unstable market is almost completely caused by the deficit spending and the feds attempt to stabilize the dollar which leads to this boom and bust economy right? Look at our debt projections for just 5 years from now, I'm not worried about SS going bankrupt, Im worried about our entire country going bankrupt and people who just want to keep the status quo going and don't want to rock the boat are the ones leading us down this path on both sides of the isle.

  • Have you been to a country without social support systems? Not a pretty sight. Get used to swarms of homeless, cripples, and children begging in ubiquitously filthy streets. Corporations will rule Americans like tyrants. Work until you’re 80 if you’re lucky not to have an on-the-job accident or disease. Can’t afford $600 monthly health insurance? Too bad! Republicans want that tax money now going to support infrastructure, science, and social programs for their own stock market schemes.

  • If this country continues on the path we find ourselves on we WILL be economically finished and SS will not be an issue. Will it? It is time to wake up and face the music. Our country was highjacked when Wilson gave in to the bankers that gave us the Federal Reserve and SS in 1913. We have been fucked ever since.

Now the question is: WTF are we going to do about it?

We are going to elect RON PAUL and get back to the CONSTITUTION like the FOUNDING FATHERS INTENDED.

    Or we are done.......

  • Ron Paul won't be able to phase out Social Security that a lie. Republicans been saying that for years and guess what it not going to happen

  • @ZaeViola I think you're an idiot.

  • @kathryndelong Your idol will not get the nomination. He is a candidate of false hope and none his promise won't happen. He won't get rid of the FED,FDA,Social security or minimum wage

  • Oh so you are against people with Disablitites and senior citizens

  • You rock Kathryn !!! Ron Paul 2012 !!!

  • isn't there a playlist that will play automatically all your videos in order. I Hate You Tube.

  • Visit bluerepublican . org for more information on voting in the primaries to ensure that Ron Paul is the GOP nominee.

    /watch?v=UtGRHg3a8Iw

  • Seriously i mean if big gov didnt threaten us to pay them their protection money i'm sorry income tax ,which is unconstitutional, then we would have enough of what we earned in order to take care of ourselves in the future....

  • Yay, another lady for RP! :)

  • and when this girl has no money what so ever at retirement, or better yet, is disabled in some way, whats her plan then. the IQ just keeps getting lower and lower.

  • He doesn't just want to get rid of it. That would be insane. He has said he will uphold the promise to senior by taking the billions wasted on wars and use it for SS. Then he will let the young opt out if they want. But if you opt out you better be willing to take care of yourself. All you really need to do is put a couple of hundred dollars aside every month for emergencies and retirement. It would be better then the government takingit since they take out way more and waste most of that money

  • What about those with a disability? Get hurt and cant work?? What are we to do with them?

  • ron paul 2012

  • Hot girls vote for Ron Paul. :)

  • What exactly do you guys suppose you would do if you suddenly lost your eyesight from diabetes,..? and if any of you guys knew anything there would be a surplus of SS reserves if the government wouldn't stop dipping their grubby hands in it.

  • @TheKristopherNeil You're right, many of these things would be easy enough to fund. However, how many programs has the government properly managed? Has it not shown itself time and again incapable of managing other peoples' money? Does anyone handle other peoples' money as well as they handle their own? Are social security bureaucrats incentivised to handle your money well when their funding will come in regardless of how much they squander it?

  • Nice, id would be really nice if you could bring along some of the non-white population to vote along with you.

  • I don't think an abolition of SS is necessary, just some crucial fixes. As others have said, I don't like the fact that I have to pay for my grandfather's SS benefits because our government irresponsibly spent HIS money.

  • @Laughingblades The issue isn't about letting those in need die or waste away. It's about legally mandating that people "donate" or "act charitably" at the threat of imprisonment. If bureaucracies are not necessarily responsible for the money they're in charge of (since the money will always keep coming in) then the program will end up wasting the money. If donors are free to choose where and when to donate, then the organization in charge will be more careful so as to keep its patrons.

  • @sindle36 Let me just make sure I understand your position regarding taxes. Is it acceptable for the government to tax you in order to defend your borders, provide a police force, or provide public roads?

Also what do you think should happen to poor elderly people when charity fails, because as history showed us before SSI, a lot of poor elderly people were living in poor houses reliant on charity and when times got tough people stopped giving to charity.

  • @Laughingblades It's my position that the federal government's role is to enforce the rule of law and protect fundamental rights. Everything else should be left to the states. If a state votes for a social security system, or to ban abortion or outlaw condoms, that is their prerogative. Individuals have a greater ability to influence local elections compared to the federal gov't, and states are better able to cater to their populations' needs.

  • @sindle36 So you're not a libertarian, you're all for state governments invading our personal liberties, you just don't believe the Federal Government should do it.

    You're just anti-federalist then.

  • @Laughingblades The federal government should be limited to ensuring that states do not pass laws that trample on fundamental freedoms, manage the military, handle international negotiations and mediate inter-state conflicts (like a river source in Nevada polluting a water supply in California, for example). Other than that, the federal government has shown itself too incompetent or too lumbering to be worth the credit we give to it.

  • @sindle36 Like banning condoms, outlawing gay marriage, or invading my womb. Got it.

SSI falls under Article 1 Section 8 in providing for the general safety and welfare of the American public, it's well within the role of the Federal Government.

And mind you, after you get off this computer today, you could have a stroke or get food poisoning or be in an accident that renders you permanently disabled. How will you support yourself if that happens? Will your insurance even cover you?

  • @Laughingblades "banning condoms, outlawing gay marriage, or invading my womb" Well, I'd vote against such measures, but at least you or I would have a worthwhile say if these were relegated to the states. As the situation stands, there's nothing we can do when the Supreme Court decides to invade your womb.

  • @sindle36 I happen to think it's hypocritical to oppose federal government meddling in such affairs but support state government doing so, it just means supporting the tyranny of state governments over the supposed tyranny of the federal government. Though are you suggesting we abolish the supreme court?

  • @Laughingblades As for the Federal gov't providing for the welfare, we read that drastically different; where you may read it as responsibility to care for anyone who asks, I see it as responsibility to ensure that laws are followed, nobody prevents from exercising our own freedoms and you and I are free to choose whom we help.

  • @sindle36 Article 1 Section 8 gives congress the Authority, not the Responsibility, to provide a social safety net. Now maybe you support social darwinism and think it should be every man for himself or charity, but SSI is there because we're biological organisms, we break down, we suffer injury, and any one of us could need it. SSI exists for all of us, and if you support any taxation why oppose SSI with such arguments? Isn't there a double standard?

  • @Laughingblades again, my reading of said clause is that the federal government is there to ensure freedoms and that is its role in protecting welfare. The argument can be made that SS falls under your interpretation, although I think it's better to err on the side of less forced intervention than more, on the side of choice rather than mandate.

  • @Laughingblades With lower taxes, those with money to burn may choose to donate their money to a cause they feel is most deserving or where their hard-earned money will be best used. No everyone will, of course, but that's the unfortunate pay-off of freedom.

  • @sindle36 Insanity

Taxes take away from charity in fantasy land perhaps but not in this reality. You're just trying to avoid and confuse issues.

  • @LordDragonBleedleaf Perhaps some people have unlimited funds to donate, in which case you'd be right. But for the majority of good-natured Americans, funds are limited. Either one's meager savings can go toward SS, or it can be donated to a charitable cause of choice. If Social Security forcibly takes your money, then it may leave you with none left to donate.

SSI may not affect yours or Bill Gates' philanthropy, but for the rest of us, that may be pretty much all we have to spare.

  • @sindle36 quit avoiding the issue.

    You can't escape your fate.

  • @LordDragonBleedleaf You may be confused, but it's through no fault of my own.

  • @sindle36 U mad bro?

    Come at me slave bitch.

    I pwn you.

  • @Laughingblades As for states rights, the federal government is, by design, tightly limited. Everything else falls under state jurisdiction. The idea that a New Yorker should have a say in day-to-day matters on what happens in Alaska is absurd and their say is curt-tailed, rightly so. We are arguing two different matters in the same discussion.

  • @Laughingblades Guess what thats life

  • @Laughingblades Also incase you haven' noticed life in general is very unfair

  • @Laughingblades I'm a big supporter of Ron Paul and a proponent of the Austrian School and capitalism, I think it's the best system out there. However, 100% of anything is a recipe for disaster; just as 100% of communism will lead to ruins, so will 100% capitalism. I support most all taxes other than income. I'm aware we have infrastructure to maintain, and borders to protect, so taxation of some form is necessary. I also concede that SS is necessary... for obvious reasons.

  • What a beautiful Asian woman intelligent to the Ron Paul message. Keep spreading the word, we need it.

  • You're absolutely retarded.

Go live in Somolia, you Libertarian piece of shit.

  • @AtomicDaytime lol umadbro?

  • @AtomicDaytime Somalia is to Libertarians what a burned down church is to Agnosticism. Its a straw-man argument and its getting old. Yawn

  • Try to get SS as a 100% disabled Veteran... With all the paperwork from the VA.... Try, and get back to me if you succeed... You need a high paid lawyer to even make those assholes budge... I don't want to be paid for life, I want to get exactly what I paid into it... Then I'll be happy... And I'll probably be 90 by then unless Dr. Paul is elected

  • @JACKNCOKE223 Guys let be realistic Ron Paul is no different then any of the politicians out there. Getting of rid social security is not going to happen

  • @sweetheart2109

You need to do some research about Ron Paul if you think he's the same... He's been saying the same things since day 1... Not a flip flopper... How's that the same???

  • @JACKNCOKE223 I heard him say it. He will get rid of social security which won't happen

  • @sweetheart2109

No, he wants to phase it out if people don't want it... All that have it will still have it, and young people will get the option to opt out of it...

  • Social security increases wages and when wages increase the cost to produce goods increases. How are we supposed to compete against other countries that produce cheap goods because their wages are lower.

  • See, you can be beautiful and wise at the same time, I would say stupidity is ugly. Mitt Romney, Rick Perry, Obama, all very ugly! We've only tried freedom a couple hundred years and this nation became an icon of humanity. And now we want to just throw it all away because we want to play stupid. Come on, we all know Ron Paul is right. We all know if we want to be great again, we have to take on the responsibility ourselves and stop giving everything over to the politicians to take care of us.

  • I like your videos and your message. A tip about your delivery though: its a little transparent that you are typing these monologues up beforehand and reading them off. While thats not a terrible thing, it would seem more authentic and natural if you would just go off a few talking points. Slowing down your speech a bit would help. A pretty authentic style is reading off one of the facts, and then discussing it to the audience, instead of speeching to them.

  • I wish more people were like you, then we wouldn't be in this mess.../

  • The thing is social security will remain intact. And Ron Paul will not be elected. There are other ways to fix social security, and I believe that the program is needed by the American population. That is all.

  • Current social security payers should be left as-is. Ones about to start paying into the system should not have to pay nor receive benefits. If someone is put in a situation where they can't take care of themselves because of some unforeseen tragedy or occurrence in their life, then yes, I think we should take care of those people. Otherwise, live below your means, invest your money, and retire with all the money you will need. This assumes health care costs stop rising at like 5 times inflation

  • The SSA is viable until the year 2036 and does not contribute to the national debt. It can be fixed forever by lifting the cap on contributions. I lost $180,000 in the big crash of 2008. If Bush had privatized SS I would have lost that too. At least SS is still there for me. Go ahead! Turn over your money to those crooks on Wall Street. They are licking there chops. Before you retire, the crooks will steel you blind 2 or 3 times before you reach the age of 50. You will have nothing.

  • My biggest concern about SS isn't the fact that the gov is stealing from me, it's the fact the gov is forcing me to provide them with my personal information by requiring me to submit to using a SS#, which allows the gov to invade every aspect of my personal, private life. I resent this invasion of privacy more than anything else the gov does in exercising its unbridled powers over every citizen.

  • @bbburton I hope you don't plan to get old or ever get stricken disabled by some illness or accident.

  • @Laughingblades Don't we all wish the same for each other? So what's your point? That if I do get old and/or sick or have an accident, then all I have to do is come to your door and you'll take care of me? Or alternatively, I'll just go to the gov and have them come to your door and take whatever they want from you to give to me to take care of myself? Is this what you really want me to endorse?

  • @bbburton Don't like government? Go to Somalia.

  • @grubelsucht No thanks. I'll just stay here, eliminate the wasteful, unconstitutional government, and throw out all the ignorant schmucks like you.

  • @bbburton Yours comment displace ignorance typical of your ilk. Identify "unconstitutional government" you silly jackass. Your future comments in any discussion would better serve you would you tie them to a demonstrable fact, a reference, or line of reason.

  • @grubelsucht Do you even read the shit you write before you hit the post button?! Go back to school you ignorant fuck.

  • @bbburton I know Titivillus, you don't. I made a point in my comment, you didn't. You display the complacently stupid babble of Republicans, who attempt to overcome logic with loud and arrogant displays of sophistry. What do you mean by ?!? You don't know.

  • @grubelsucht You made a point?! What was it? How stupid you are? No doubt, you hit a home run on that score. And you're still an ignorant fuck.

  • 2/3 of senior citizens died in poverty prior to the creation of Social Security.

The reason you're forced to pay into Social Security is because people like you who claim they'll plan for their retirement, don't actually do so.

And then the rest of the taxpayers have to pay when you're in the emergency room with no money.

  • Amen to that. Ron Paul 2012!

  • Good job. I add two points.

    1. Social Security was created by Democrats-progressives in 1930's when male life expectancy was 57yo. The payments were to start at 65yo. So much for socialist Utopia!

    2. Private savings could only work if you have a sound currency without inflation - that is another reason to elect RON PAUL (I ma sure it is in your list of 100.)

  • Well said!
