I would like Ron Paul himself to make a statement as to whether or not he signed that actual letter. If he says that he was too busy to actually read a five page letter he was signing, I'm not going to believe him. Even if that were true, it means he was an idiot (who would sign a relatively short statement without reading it)
ron paul 2012 (Unless he actually is bat-shit crazy)
The first two are defininitely different. None of the "authentic" signatures connect the R & o. The third unverified signature has an R with a second leg, and artifact not found in any other signatures. The last one could be the real thing, but then again it could be a stamp. This doesn't convince me either way (excluding that I don't believe the third signature is Dr. Paul), but keep working on it.
Why is it so unthinkable that a full-time politician would have signed a letter encouraging people to subscribe to his political newsletters while remaining aloof of the actual production process? You might also find Arianna Huffington‟s signature on solicitation letters for the Huffington Post. Does that make her personally responsible for everything inside?
It could easily have been photocopied. But suppose it wasn‟t. So what? Why wouldn‟t Ron Paul‟s name appear on the solicitation letter? It doesn‟t follow that therefore he wrote it, or anything else in the newsletters. He‟s someone for whom it is routine to draft and sign hundreds of bills that never see the light of day. A request to ink one more piece of paper probably would not strike him as way out of left field.
It doesn't AT ALL match the sample on Wiki. But whether it matches is beside the point: Documents like this are often printed using a /copy/ of a real signature. This has all come up 3x before, in 2008, 2001 and 1996. Paul has denied that he wrote them, and disavows them, although he notes that he does bear "moral responsibility" since he allowed them to be published in his name. But his record speaks for itself, and I know him. He is simply not a man who would say these things.
ee do you think that Newsletters have origial signatures OR COPIES of original signatures. DO you think they used a COPY of his signature on those FAKE newsletters. USE YOUR BRAINS GOD GAVE U DUH
Actually, Mr. Linder made sure to state that he was NOT speaking on behalf of the NAACP or even his local chapter, and NOT endorsing Ron Paul. He's just one more black man who voted No on Ron Paul.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Of course Ron Paul wrote those things. If there's any doubt that he's a racist and a lunatic, just look at his supporters. Ron Paul supporters have called me a "Jew Pig" and other anti-semetic terms and i'm NOT EVEN JEWISH! Ron Paul followers are also 9/11 conspiracy theorists, who think Bush knocked down the towers. Hmmm now where would they get ideas like that?
Your ignorance is noted. Are you a trained hand-writing specialist?? I see that you are just another idiot American who thinks that the government owes you something for nothing. Take care yourself and let the rest of us decide if Ron Paul has principles to run the country (and not ruin it further.) I fear for America. VOTE RON PAUL. He is the ONLY honest candidate and can actually wake up the country from the hypnotic trance we have been under for the past 50 years.
(1) The racist comments were concentrated over a 3-4 year span, but the crazy conspiracy theories run the span of the full 20 years.
(2) There was much more objectionable content than what he said about Lincoln, such as calling blacks "animals" and saying they are coming to get white people.
Have you seen the article just published last week by Reason magazine (a libertarian magazine) about who authored Ron Paul's newsleteters? Google for "who wrote Ron Paul's newsletters" to find it. It says that Ron Paul "became complicit in a strategy of pandering to racists." That's not much better than writing the newsletters himself.
OK, on the "mention Iraq and 9/11" in the same sentence, you make a valid point. But how far can Ron Paul run away from these things? They were published over a span of many years. He was the owner and publisher. A lapse of oversight once or twice is reasonable, but over the entire span of 20 years?
What the hell are you talking about? First of all, it's "Stephen" Glass, not David. Second of all, Ron Paul himself doesn't even deny that the documents on The National Review's website are true and accurate reproductions of his newsletters. TNR never says Paul wrote them. Identify one -- just one -- factually untrue thing about TNR's reporting on this story. Just one. Go for it. I'm waiting.
Good Lord, even Ron Paul isn't denying it's his signature. Find a single source of Ron Paul claiming it's not his signature. Ron Paul has not questioned the authenticity of the newsletters uncovered by The National Review. He has admitted they are true copies. Name one error in TNR's reporting. Just one.
Maybe I've been under a rock, but what was written in his name? That little promo/thanks with the special offer was obviously done by some marketing person.
You dream up all of these scenarios that exonerate Paul not only of responsibility for the newsletters, but even AWARENESS of them! It's truly astonishing how much a follower type can believe whatever he wants, suspending all rational thought and natural skepticism or curiosity. You must be DESPERATE to follow a leader if you are willing to refuse what you see with your own eyes.
I do not expect my leaders to be perfect. I was a racist myself for many of my years. I was raised in a racist household as well. I have since seen the light. We are all people, and should all be treated as individuals. Nobody has ever heard or seen Ron Paul do anything racist. For an old guy, that is pretty impressive. I would have never found out about the Federal Reserve, Sibel Edmonds, or Project Mockingbird without Ron Paul. I thank him for helping to open my eyes to the truth.
*Nobody has ever heard or seen Ron Paul do anything racist.*
Except, ya know, that whole newsletter thing he published for 20 years. And, you know, his lifelong opposition to Abraham Lincoln, the Civil Rights Movement, and his embrace of secession and the Confederacy.
I see truth has gotten the better of you. Opposing Lincoln on some issues, embracing secession, do not make him a racist. Try again silly. So all you got is the newsletters. That is IT nothing else. Thought so. You fail.
Last minute mudslinging is not to be rewarded. It is clearly designed to mislead just when it will do the most harm, and cannot be refuted. Any actual evidence you may present here was known to his political opponents many months ago. You missed the decent campaigning deadline.
Ron Paul is a victim of the international Jew banker, Federal Reserve, Bilderbirger, Zionist, Activist Judge, Hollywood liberal, neoconservative, American Enterprise Institute, Illuminati, Bohemain Grove, femiinist lesbian, unionized, environmentalist, Free Mason, New World Order, French Cuisine, radical Council on Foreign Relations!
Oh, and also the vegetarian leftist NAMBLA gun control mainstream media college professor anti-combustion engine moonbat Bavarian Washington bureaucrat Democrat faith healing jack-booted Social Security administrationists!
did you know that handwriting analysis was invented by the Bavarian Illuminati? It's true. They teach the courses in black helicopters flying over secret United Nations compounds at Area 51!!!
I don't condone racism but I'm not basing my vote on an issue that effects one group of people. I'm much more concerned with issues that are effecting everyone in this country and around the world. tomorrow you'll see a huge stock market dump, some say over 1,000 points. That effects everyone, not just blacks.
None of the signatures look the same for that fact I can see discrepencies in every signature!!!Nice try,why don't you check and see how many of the candidates are members of the Council on Foreign Relations!!!
Do you not notice that he does not connect the R to the O in any of his signature and isn't it funny you joined a week ago and Fox just now came out wih this smear.
He's obviously part of the Illuminati conspiracy against Ron Paul. He's probably a Jewish banker and owns a black helicopter! I'll bet he's a member of the CFR and Trilateral Commission! He probably supports global government led by the United Nations and wants to install a microchip in your brain! Aieeee!!!!!! Ron Paul save us!!!!
all of those signatures seem to be from ron paul.
