    Yes you can convert files to avi and mp3 types but only through third party applications which usually require you to pay.

  • Best software to open it would be VLC media player which runs all types of media files, but any FLV player will also do the job. Remember, all files are stored on youtube in FLV format so you HAVE to have a player that can play flv.
