  • As a direct descendant of the reverend Daniel Tucker, I applaud this rendition!!!!

  • Are those Motor Cars!?!

  • Mr. Edwards maybe watching from heaven.

  • I just have one thing to say...YEE HAW!!!!

  • how very enjoyable that was

  • If I understand it correctly "FARB' is short for the phrase 'Far be it for me" essentially to critique your authenticity.

Any of you reenactor dudes want ot back me up on that?

Oh yes! Dandy song fest there fellows. Well done. My daddy used to sing that song with some rather scandolous verses. Thanks for putting your song out here for us to enjoy.

    Best regards,

    Marcus

  • But I feel the best version is by Lew Dite check out this version at this channel: LDsongscreen

  • Nice version and sounds like real old classic. There is also a different kind of version by Wiggles and also by Bruce Springsteen. I find that each song version is amongst the best in their own style of singing.

  • This is a cracking piece of 'homespun' Amercian Civil War music. Speaking as an ACW-mad Brit, this really is toe-stampingly atmospheric.

Let's here it for 'Old Dan Tucker'...

    A one...

    A one-two...

    A one-two-three...!!!

  • we have some friends that can't play anything, so we through them some bones too, so they can join in.

  • there are a bunch of kids ive seen that have hoe downs and they almost get beat up they were playing this song lol

  • Great Job on this Song & Video !

  • No offense but basically every reeenactor that attends the GAC event is a farb.

  • Except those who are authentic and still reenact with their mainstream units. (such as myself) I guess it was kind of mean what I said looking back on it...lol

  • What's a farb?

  • A dumbass who doesn't give a shit about looking authentic and doesn't even try to portray the soldiers of the civil war correctly. Such as one wearing sunglasses, modern clothing, bright orange earplugs, wearing wristwatches...thousands of other anachronisms that should have the wearer shot on sight. I hate farbs, but they do give me a good laugh at times....

  • haha nice

  • I love this kind of playing, excellent! Very entertaining, keep it up, guys.

  • cool!

  • what a geat time. Gonna be even more greaterer in 2008!!
