  • Your video is a favorite on Benin

  • This video went viral on Accra

  • Today il do this for my son, but first il have to make it on my own,to make him feel kinda spl... hmmm...!!!

    Love You YD..

    :-)

  • @TnTsales wouldnt these alnd somewhere and catch fire?!

  • It will only be a matter of time before these are banned in the UK. They are already banned in several countries.

  • Everyone always thinks UFO when they see these things.

  • Wax coated pressed material. Non drip, non-toxic, non-combustible wax dip..

  • ahh i love you too

  • what do they burn inside the lantern?

  • @HighestHopes litlle bit off fuel i quess

  • OMG UFO!

  • The Maritime and Coastguard Agency says coastguards and lifeboats are sent out needlessly. In 2010 the agency recorded 1,500 flare incidents, of which 500 were believed to be false alarms caused by lanterns, while the CAA says they also pose danger to landing aircraft.

  • Crops are also at risk; last summer in Oxfordshire, a blaze from a lantern destroyed 2.5 hectares of barley. Litter is also a problem, said the NFU: "The people releasing lanterns wouldn't dream of dumping rubbish, but that's what is happening."

  • Civil Aviation Authority wants a ban on the sale of the sky lanterns, which are paper and wire hot air balloons fuelled by a naked flame. "People have no control where they land," said Nick von Westenholz, government affairs adviser for the NFU. Dorset and Somerset fire service said it had seen a sharp increase in lantern fires in the past year. Farmers say cows suffer stomach damage from eating the wire of fallen lanterns.

  • @james58390 go away you kill joy. youve posted those same comments on so many videos about paper lanterns. Go downbuzz someone elses page.

  • Still looking for a safe place to launch a sky lantern with minimal consequences.

A quick search on "Lantern Huw Rowlands" has placed more weight on a lantern's potential after-effects. Still doing research.

  • fire hazard, or is it just me?

  • what if it lands on a forest a tree or some bush

  • @minsymp shut up

  • ماخليتوا شي ماطلعتوه اهب

  • @MsAlsarem fuckin muslims and your retarded looking grammar!

  • im scared of those things coz last yr my sisters lantern caught on fire and it fell on my and set my swetter on fire i have scars fromit D:

  • l have never see it before...that's cool....

  • if u live near the coast your not supposed to set them off as the coast guard can mistake them for a distress call

  • These lanterns are great fun but one small word of warning. Those cheap disposable lighters, do not hold them lit for that amount of time. They are more dangerous than what people realise, use a candle instead. Otherwise, have fun.

  • what kind of material/paper are u using? We tried one today, but it was too heavy to fly. Also: What did you light there? A piece of wood?

  • @Rodnox tissue paper is the best for that, look in youtube "globos de cantoya"

  • it would just be my luck that i would set one off and it would travel straight up into the engines of a packed boeing 747 jumbo jet fully loaded with passengers on their way home from spain or somethin killin them all in a massive mid-air explosion, i on the other hand would spend the next 500 years in jail for mass manslaughter lol

  • @2006scottw

Nothing would happen. They often such in birds and nothing happens, too.

  • @2006scottw Don't worry, the engines of a boeing are capable of handling a bird go through them, a paper bag won't do much damage.

  • i lit a sky lantern in too much wind and when it was high up the flame on the bottom caught the lantern on fire and it the lantern burnt up

  • cool!!

  • Cute Girl!

  • pervert

  • Ok.... I should of said woman! She has a wedding band on! So you think the mans voice is sexy!?!

  • lighting it near a gas cylinder.very clever

  • wimp...

  • actually its posible that it falls in forest or even houses if it is in a winter place

  • It's like a portable forest fire starter

  • isnt that like littering?

  • they are usually biodegradable

  • nice but what if it gets caught on a tree? 0.0

  • did u c how high up and how fast it goes? unless u have a tree 500 feet tall, thats not likely

  • omg they are either gypsies or pikies, they have a caravan and use an oil barrel for heat

  • thats a tire rim most campsites recycle like that but thats not the point

  • Open the sealed bag, then remove the Glolantern from it's plastic bag carefully taking care not to tear. Then unfold carefully and unravel and remove the tissuepaper covering the fuelcell;light carefully and hold allowing the hot air to fill the lantern taking care not to let the flame lick and burn the sides. When the lantern is inflated and you feel the lantern starting to rise, guide gently and let it rise and float away. Best to use an open space away from hazards which may impede the flight

  • NOssa vai soltar um balão de sente americanos, vcs tem que soltar balões iguaisinos aos do BRASIL=só de 72 ,18,48...metros vem ver aqui como nós Brasileiros solta balões

kkkk falou uma abração ==I love yours

  • olha esse video do balão q nois soltamo

  • olha os balão q eu ja soltei

  • que por caria é essa

  • what was the fuel used? Where was it? Where can we do this in the US??

  • Usually a small piece of waxed paper. YES in the US.

  • the fuel is a wick dipped in wax. these are made in thailand. you can make your own

  • uh the only way that will land is when the fire goes out because as long as the fire is burning, it'll be full of hot air

  • ya but what if the balloon catches fire? then u got a falling fireball.

  • theyre designed so that wont happen

  • designed? lmfao u fail, yes they can fire forests.

    I prefer my hot air heated ballon heated by sun, wayyy better :) check them;

  • @rerafabob you bitch you dont even hava video on hot air ballons!

  • @james58390, go and screw yourself, go and post your negative comment somewhere else loser

  • We did one today went miles! cpuldnt belive it people mgiht think its a ufo.

  • you twat the flame will go out once there is no oxygen

  • he said miles twat

  • whatever, if there launched right, they climb, and go out in the air, if not launched right and it does go tits up, it wont of gone very far, and if it did combust in flight, by the time it hits the deck, its out, plain and simple, stop hugging trees!

  • lol I wasn't hugging trees, I said they look cuter with out fur didn't I? I was merely trying to stop someone else from deciding they want to do this with out knowing how and messing things up. Asians do this when the wind is going to blow them out to sea not when they are in the midwest.

  • for your first one, just use a bon bag. swallow your pride!

try a tissue wick dipped in parrafin for your burner

    good luck

  • iv been trying to make a home made one at home with tht light tissue paper for like stuffing presint bags

  • what do you guys use as the fore in the baloon and where do you get it iv been try ing to make one and iv been using corn oil and a kariseen wick it was so close to flying

  • some ppl do this when its dark outside :)

  • so dey look like ufo's lol!

  • Skylaterns rock.
