  • Damn, assembly is evil you know that rite?

  • @RenegadeFury I wouldn't do my daily coding in it that's for sure, but it was a good learning experience. :P

  • Hours and hours of fun to be had :P

  • good game did you make this game for your website

  • Not really. I just made it because I wanted to try something new and challenging. From what I've heard 2600 programming is up there so I decided to give it a shot. :P

  • Nice,

    and its written with ASM.

    Very good :D

  • Thanks, it was pretty simple to make really. Not sure what I'll make next though...

  • That were good times... :)

  • ok so u make games for emulators........try (as a challene) a nintendo 64 game LOL

make it like uber zelda stuff hhaah

  • Programming a game from scratch is EXTREMELY hard if you're on your own, or lacking major skills...

A hacker called Frauber fully hacked Super Mario 64 changing all levels and he had to learn C++ , study the music files and write tools for it, and it's took a couple of years to make. And that's a hack. You're asking GL to make one from scratch. Not to mention sprites, they'd have to be 3D, these are just lines. He'd have to make controls, textures, shapes, cutscenes... 2D stuff is much easier.

  • it gets glitchy once the paddle is smaller than the ball.

  • Yeah. LOL If you don't hit it dead on it can glitch. Still was fun to write as a shitty demo.

  • Thats crazy. Too bad I don't have any idea what emulates an Atari 2600. =(

  • I recommend Stella, but I heard z26 works well too.

  • The paddle is smaller than the ball. XD

  • At least it's better than E.T.

  • Very nice depiction. Pwnsome job.
