Like you say, the one-world govt will not happen through a massive military invasion. it will happen right under our noses, with our permission via inaction against it.
We'll eventually discover that our laws are the same as the one-world govt wants us to have. Then one day it will just switch over. It will be celebrated in the press. We'll all sit there watching their glee asking "when did this happen, and why wasn't I informed?"
And there will be nothing we can do about it. It will be done.
