This was on my ninth birtday,I only remember seeing a man in Wrangler jeans jumping on stage, for us kids it was normal then, but now I see that it wasnt normal,Freddie was one of a kind,no one can ever replace him!He made eighties-THE DAY OF OUR LIFES,WE THANK HIM FOR THAT,WE STILL LOVE YOU FREDDIE!
something is wrong with the audio, like if its collected from another source from the other version that is up here on youtube. If you listen to his "we" at 19:13 you will hear it.
The atmosphere at live aid must have been unbelievable. I wish I had been there. If there's one band I would have loved to see live, it's queen with Freddie. But obviously that will never happen. Freddie is just one of the all time greatest singers and performers, and the best for me I would say.
2 muppets...u alway get a couple eh....This is the best live performance ever.Freddie...You were and always will be a champion of this world!!LEGEND!!!!
I remember seeing this live when MTV broadcast it in 1985. It gave me goosebumps then and still does today. Queen played the perfect set and stole the entire show. The next day, all anyone (news reports, local, national and international) could talk about, was Queen's outstanding performance.
it has been said by numerous other bands that performed at Live Aid that QUEEN stole ths show. I believe it...the way Freddie interacted with the crowd is just awesome and it is unfortunate that he was taken away from this world....long live Queen and Freddie Mercury!!!!
I remember seeing this live on tv,being a guitarplaying rock loving 17 year old rebel youngster.....;i was blown away, what a band, such brilliance, such power and energy...truly one of the icons of 20th century music and in their case often..ART
And i say again...seeing this again makes me miss the 80ies even more.
You're kidding, right? Freddie Mercury is a legend. Musicians today WISH they were as talented. He can sing, dance, and actually PLAY instruments. Loved Queen since I was very little, and still do. RIP Freddie.
The single greatest thing ever witnessed by mankind! Better than the invention of fire, the wheel or the airplane! Of course, I'm being a little silly, but it's still THAT good!
this is an awesome performance!!
