  • loved that smile at 55:19.

and wow is it stressful being a teacher!

  • do u think gareth will do it again but with a different group like for girls <3

  • I think Gareth was a bit harsh to not let Connor show him his drumming.

  • boys wont write or read in groups. they each need tob be seperated and isolated to maintain focus.

  • I have such great respect for Gareth Malone, teacher extraordinaire!!! Hope he continues to inspire young people for many years to come!!!

  • Im in 2nd set english in year 10 and some of these kids write better than some people in my class!!

  • gareth amazing

  • I LOVE GARETH MALONE!

  • I do not think his arrangements of music are real odd since he needs to make it real simple for children of mixed musical background to follow. This is a very great teaching and great engagement. I really admire Gareth since I saw the choir.

  • I can't bear Gareth Malone, his arrangements of music are real odd

  • he has inspired meny people gareth morlone he is the very best even at children in need i love that song it makes my cry

  • 25:58 worlds strictest parents music :D

  • This was my primary school.

  • Tommy looked hyperactive to me and I know the feeling of not being able to put your ideas on paper. It's what authors call writer's block. Too bad Gareth assumed he didn't see the point of writing at 26:00.

That said, he's doing a great job with these kids. If only this sort of thing was more common.

  • This is a great show! Enjoyed watching it and seeing how each student grew in the process. And I have to say it makes me consider teaching as an option because it really does look rewarding at the end : D

  • I hate to say it, but it's not hard or rocket science...

    Make learning REAL and PURPOSEFUL.

Teachers need to be Firm, Fair and Friendly.

    Talk as little as possible.

Look at things from the students point of view.

As for the testing the attitude they enter the room with is HUGELY important.

  • I am a huge fan of Gareth and think what he has done with school children is just brilliant!

  • A great doco, very inspiring, and hopefully a sign that things are changing for the better.
