There has never been a motor like the LSX, even if you defiled it here by putting it in a jap car. Never has an engine been so becoming of power by the most simple modifications. Never has an engine been more modular in configuration. Never has an engine been so simple that it can bring monstrous power to the masses with its relatively low cost. Hail the LSX boys. It's the last engineering achievement of what was GM Performance.
is it a stock ls2? if not what mods does the motor itself have? I have been debating on buying me a project to slap an lsx in, been looking into the miata's though. Wicked car though.
I have done most things right and have about 50k into my Z, engine alone was 9k it was one of the first up for sale.so you have to pay a high price...you can do a LS1 cheap and its fun...

My car has never left california..i belive i know wich car your talking about..if it is it has a ls1 not an ls2.and it does look like mine but with flares, he is running cobra wheels too.
I've seen a 280Z that looks just like yours parked at my work a few times in Phoenix, AZ. I haven't seen the license plate but I heard it had an LS2. Same car?
awesome, I had a 77 persimmon orange z in high school, my friend had a 75 and we put a 350 in it. Does your car have the stock datsun rear end and half shafts? be surprised if they could take that power.
