i thought gas varies inversely with presssure. doesn't the pressure decrease as the volume increase as vice versa? isnt that Boyle's law?

Boyle's Law applies to a fixed mass of gas at constant temperature. If you "add" air then you're changing its mass so it doesn't contradict Boyle's Law.
