@RevJohn When it comes to telepathy, saying that if I challenge someone than it won't happen is a built in self-defense mechanism for the belief in telepathy. In the same way hell is used to "supress" atheists from turning away from religion. Regardless, it's unfair anyways because there is no means to prove it. Just because something can't be proven can't eliminate the possibility of it being true. Sometimes, there is no solid explanation where I don't know why and neither does anyone else.
What do you make of Rupert Sheldrakes ideas? I've read The Presence of the Past, Dogs that Know When their Owners are Coming Home, and The Feeling of Being Stared at. I think his theories, which are supported by a plethora of evidence, may explain a lot about what's happening with magic.
Interesting.. Very interesting. I been trying to do such powers but not yet i have mastered. Although I can predict when weather will come and i can intensify it and make it go away.. Shhh don't tell anyone about it lol.
It doesn't really matter what it's called, but we both agree there is some kind of positive effect on healing that comes from positive expectations or thinking. But you make an additional claim that the effect is magical. To me, it seems to be exactly what one would expect if the mind was a product of brain function, and both brains and the rest of the physical body system were one unit. Thoughts effect the immune system because they are both physical and both a product of biological function.

Nothing wrong with positive thinking. But you don't want someone selling you pills that don't do anything other than what you could do with positive thinking alone - that would be a scam. They need to be sure they do something *in addition* to what you could do with positive thinking to be worthy of asking you money for it. That's why it's good to do double-blind studies.
@ergentonio It is actually a common misconception that we only use a small percentage of our brain (the more common misconception is that it is 10%). This is a misunderstanding of the fact that only about 10% of our brains are used to keep us alive with basic autonomic functions. The rest of the brain is used for cognition, thought, memory, etc - but we *do* use all of our brains. If you don't agree perhaps you'd like to donate a section from the alleged 90-95%? My guess is you would miss it :)
i agree that the mind is an amazing resource that we are not yet close to grasping, but I think that the term "placebo effect" is a very apdt desciption thus far.
magic isnt like harry potter, it is the harnessing of energy created by living things to manipulate the enviroment, it has been prooven the body gives off a kind of radiation that is very powerfull but little understood
I think you are doing the relabeling. "Magic" is widely understood as supernatural. If phenomena which were not understood scientifically, now are, that means we discovered that the phenomena are NOT magic.
If you use the woird "magic" like the majority of people do, you cannot prove it. Because "magic" (in that way) means something for which are no proofs whatsoever.
If you relabel "magic" as you do, only then your notions make any sense.
I truly respect your open mindedness. So many people refuse to accept things that are right there in front of them so its good to listen to somebody who will speak openly.
I must say very nice transition paralleling the christians relabeling with the magic to science, have to say i was starting to get bored until this was said again very good techniques with the placebo effect build up, this is anything but a rant, very effective communication as you dont get boring or say irrelevant shit

For the two twins that you were talking about, do you think that these similarities could be pure coincidence? ... the way I look at those things, there's six and a half billion people on this world, there is bound to be some very weird things that will happen, you know?
I have a challenge for you. Make something happen to me. I will give you options and you will choose from them. If magic is real i should see some results. Are you game?
you asked to be Corrected if you wrong about Jesus..Jesus was no cheezy wizzard..He was God in the Flesh..Big defference shortbus !....Your magic is just something that can fool the eye...God is not magic..magic cannot give the breath or life, nor water or anything else for that matter..You really a person of very low IQ lol.Peace
Magic is simply science that has not been understood yet. Send me back 1000 years with nothing more than a bic lighter and I will become the great god bic.
Belief is very powerful. People who believe in voodoo die when they think they are under spiritual attack. It is nonsense of course but people die as a result. This is one of the many reasons we need to be careful with belief. Here is a belief of mine. You sir are an idiot. What a load of tripe.
@sweetmonkeylove1 Evidence of PSI phenomenon does not necessarily equal belief in the supernatural or belief in God. I have been a life long fan of Bertrand Russell, by the way. And I honestly believe that objectivity within the scientific community has never been 100 per cent because scientists are human beings and therefore imperfect. The same set of experimental results analyzed by one generation of scientists may be interpreted differently by the next generation. The evidence is there now!
@sweetmonkeylove1 How am I an idiot? I agree with most of what you said. That must make you an idiot as well. Either that or you haven't taken the time to view the evidence and draw your own conclusions.
There are spirtiual forces behind magic, but my friend these spiritual beings are not your friend man. They seek praises so that man will worship them and exalt them above God.
@haszK Amen...it's funny to see people who fight like the Devil agianst God,and by the way they don't believe he exist but they still fight him and his word. And the things they believe in all came from The Bible and the warnings against them..So its like listening to Oxymorons. They Fight against the same place they get their Religion from, and Deny The God who first talked about it as a warning to stay away from.Religion is everything outside of Christianity. Our Faith is a relationship with God
So this so-called atheist, when he turns on the radio in his car thinks that there are hundreds of little people in there talking and playing instrument, giving the weather, reading the news etc... He blows his own posture by his mere act of turning on his radio. Those sounds (as rational people the world over grasp) are energy waves transmitted great distances invisibly through the air. These waves pass through our bodies and other solid objects. How does the atheist explain that I wonder?
I want to know how the "super natural" cannot exist. Everyone misunderstands the term in my opinion. To me it just means super as in EXTREMELY natural. People are just too close minded to open their eyes and see what is right in front of their faces. We get big headed and try to explain everything away with our intelligence instead of seeing life for what it is..... magickal!
It could just be the fact that we are made out of cells that can be controlled, physically by your brain and therefore being able to heal themselves. I still believe in magic and telepathy but I doubt that the placebo effect has anything to do with manifestation, we are chemical beings on this level of existence. Our brain has the ABILITY not the power to heal itself.
This is some mediocre BS you're peddling on youtube.
These were the same flaws I questioned in 7th grade.
Good job there "philosopher."
A miracle or magic you may want to request in the near future would be losing that excess weight you're carrying. Diabetes....Now that's the real demon.
I'll pray for you and hope you live a very long life.
@nick4cruz Even though I'm overweight, mostly due to excesses the first half of my life, I take magnesium and other numerous herbs and supplements and am on a special diet. I have normal blood pressure, good cholesterol levels and am definitely not diabetic. I was able to reverse stage three cancer due to my current lifestyle and refused the "aggressive chemotherapy" suggested by my physicians. I am a member of the Life Extension Foundation. You don't know me, but you lash out anyway. How sad.
@RevJohn Atheism is still a belief. Some people just don't feel big enough unless they can elevate themselves by denigrating and slagging others. I guess it's true: It's always easier to criticize than create. Keep creating John and let the naysayers criticize. P.S. I've heard that the Reptilians think naysayers taste like chicken...
@RevJohn Jesus can deliver you from that spiri,t it is a spirit, you see you are on Satans side but he gave you that problem he is the one who gives the problems. There is none of that in heaven Jesus said let it be as it is in heaven here on earth for all the believers. Jesus is the deliverer and healer he can do both for you. Jesus Loves You MORE THAN YOU KNOW!!
"..darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face.." - Earth was dark on it's face. God dwelt over the face of the earth as the Holy Spirit (note: God is light)
Distinction made between spiritual light, and physical and spiritual darkness.
"..God said, Let there be light.." - Who delivered the light at God's command? Is it a coincidence that "Lucifer" means "light bearer"? (Note: I'm not suggesting that Lucifer is the light, or that Satan is good)
@Jcolinsol"..God divided the light from the darkness." - by the apearance of "light" in the world, God divided what was physical and spiritual darkness, into physical light, and darkness.
This means that there are two sources of light. The Holy Spirit (spiritual light, that walks "not by sight"), and physical light. (Note: Physical light isn't evil, it is good. - "..And God saw the light, that it was good..").
@Jcolinsol"..God divided the light from the darkness." - by the apearance of "light" in the world, God divided what was physical and spiritual darkness, into physical light, and darkness.

@Jcolinsol Sorry bout all that all I was gonna say is physical light is the knowledge of good and evil which is what Satan had shown in GenesisThis means that there are two sources of light. The Holy Spirit (spiritual light, that walks "not by sight"), and physical light. (Note: Physical light isn't evil, it is good. - "..And God saw the light, that it was good..").
@Jcolinsol The implication here is that Lucifer serves a purpose in the Kingdom of God, by presenting us with a choice, of which we should choose to "walk by faith, and not by sight". Note also that the "light" that appeared at God's command, preceded the "light source" (Gen 1:16-18).
@Jcolinsol Now skip forward to the garden. Here the choice between spiritual light (life) and physical light (knowledge of good and evil) takes on physical form, as two trees. Now Lucifer comes in the form of a serpent to attempt to guide man to his light.
Here's where the whole thing gets tricky, in that if this is true than Lucifer would have been amoral, until Eve succumbed to his temptation, at which point he became the "god of this world".
If this is the case, then the point isn't one of satan being cast out of heaven, but one of him being dethroned as the "prince of the powers of the air".
@Jcolinsol Another potential implication of these conclusions is that our glorifying resulting in our replacement of satanic powers, that reflect God's glory on earth (spiritual light), rather than breeding humanistic rebellion in man kind (physical light). In this senario, we are the "ten thousands of saints" that Enoch saw coming with the Lord (Jude 14). Maybe this is "ruling and reigning with Jesus".
I believe the mind is a very powerful thing. I believe science doesn't take the mind seriously is because, if they let people think they can heal themselves with thought, than doctors wouldn't make money. The truth is in the saying "People are afraid of the unknown". It's soo true what some don't understand they shoot down. I've had personal experiences with my intuition, which to this day I follow I would say 98% I was right.
i'm kinda dissapointed someone as rational as you seem to be believes that atheism is dogmatic, the supernatural by definition cannot exist, in the moment an event is observable it is a natural phenomenon, all we want is tangible evidence that something like that exists, in the moment it does, it becomes something that can be studied by science. Even god enters those terms.
@mauriciohavok Right, the moment something is discovered, it ceases being "supernatural" and the guys in lab coats attach a label to it and claim it as science. Then you find out that witch doctors have been using a certain herb to cure a specific ailment for centuries, only to have it "re-discovered" by modern scientists who synthesize it into pill form and then put a legal patent on it! Our world revolves around money, not truth!! I suggest you read The Cosmic Serpent by Jeremy Narby.
@RevJohn and as far as that "intelligence" you talk about... i'm not sure, i understand there's a higher "order" if you'd like to call it that, that we will never understand because of our limited 5 senses, but i cannot say it's an intelligence because that's giving human properties to the unknown and that is dangerous in the way it may cloud your judgement
@mauriciohavok And as far as God goes, let me just say this. I do not believe in religion any more than you do. But don't try to convince me that there isn't an inherent intelligence behind the Universe. The evidence is solid and overwhelming. It is our attempts to EXPLAIN the creator that make us look childish and stupid. If you were to tell me that appealing to God was unnecessary, I would agree with you
@RevJohn I agree in your sense of people being corrupt and only caring about money, i have experienced this first hand, i wasn't talking about scientists themselves , i was just saying that by my definition of natural the supernatural doesn't exist and in the moment it is proven it exists it stops being super natural, it's just another thing that happens in reality.
@RevJohn Your book recommendation seems really interesting, you should also check (if you havent already) some books of Carlos castaneda, i'm not sure what the english title is but the rough translation is "The teachings of Mr. Juan" it's by an anthropologist that lived with a shaman of the yaqui "indians" in the north of mexico, it is really interesting.
It's not that a spiritual (or you could say supernatural) universe does not exist, it would just be definition-ally impossible to prove it empirically. Just because you can't prove or evaluate something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist, just that we can't comprehend it.
Then again, a form of "spiritual universe" is in evidence, in our own internal intellectual experience. Thought and emotion are intangible, unquantifiable, and yet we experience it right now.
@Jcolinsol You can't also see or disprove that I have a dragon on my garage, that doesn't mean you should believe in it, and emotion are intangible but we can measure their effects on our brains and bodies. If the supernatural never interacts with the natural, then humans cannot interact or see magic, if it does intervines with the natural world, then it could be seriously studied and proven.
Well, if you demanded proof as a requisite for belief you wouldn't believe anything.
I don't know of any reliable way to measure an emotion. You can measure brain activity I suppose, but not your experience. How do you measure an idea? Now consider that your system of measurement is itself an idea.
@Jcolinsol You can't measure an emotion, but you can prove emotions are real, by our own biochemistry, you can't measure dark matter, but you can observe it's gravitational pull,
"Real" in what sense? I don't think there's a conclusive definition of reality, let alone a means of measuring or proving it. What you mean is that we can illustrate a material cause for emotions, the emotions themselves are intangible. Our experience is intangible.
Anyway my original suggestion still stands, just because we cannot comprehend a spiritual universe, does not mean that one does not "exist". Humans don't control the universe.
@Jcolinsol again, if you cannot comprehend it how can you assert it exists? i don't negate the posibility of it existing, i just say there is no real reason to believe there is
i really don't get your argument, are you saying that science is not pushing us forward or are you saying that 'raining cats and dogs' is more like magic? And are you trying to tell me that when you go have a wee, millions of people are'nt having a wee at that same time, off course they are,and guess what, they are not your twins! You only sitting there because of science, hence your computer!
What can I say. You've clearly got it all figured out...NOT. God never said magic didn't exist, in fact he clearly states it does. What he said is, don't do it. To even think that what little magic you or anyone else might know, could even compare to the power of God is absolute foolishness. Tell me, what do satanists think is going to happen when you die? Do you actually think you can escape God? I'm not picking a fight, I really would love to know what you think...
OH RevJohn I started to noticed your aura of the outline of your body, it is really bright and that is no joke about it.The color of it looks like a whitish yellow.
@SatanasLuciferi666 I've been told this before. It was in a lecture hall. The speaker was a lady who could see auras. I walked in off the street, out of curiosity. She pointed me out to the rest of the crowd - I was standing way in the back of the hall! She told me my aura was so bright, it extended way over the top of the doorway I was standing next to.
You know, it might just be confirmation bias on my part, but it seems that synchronicity is becoming more prevalent the more I beleive in it! Man, John, you've really helped me to find inner peace! I'm not there yet, but the future seems a lot brighter than it has for the past 2 1/2 years.
Well said. I have had the privilege of not only knowing, but studying and implementing many of Prof . John's practices. His studies and analysis's of both the theoretical and practical issues on the paranormal are second to none. His tireless research and evaluation of case studies that number in the thousands are fascinating. I recommend a dedicated review of his very learned insight.
Have you considered imbued magic verses summoned magic? In other words what is given as opposed to what is asked for? You left Moses off your warlock list. He was imbued also, I think. In any event, "real" magic is something that cannot be performed by mortals and must be done by spirits? Is this interpretation correct? Hopefully you understand my deinition of "real magic" as I have not the space to go into detail here for which I apologize. (BTW I enjoy these esoteric discussions.)
I find that things are only considered magic when they have not been justified with common logic to Atheists; for example, I'm sure if people in 20bc saw televisions, or electric torches, they would consider them supernatural, beyond logical comprehension. It is just people's perception that constitutes magical phenomena. Atheists strive for explanations to all things to sate their self contentedness , which cannot possible be offered. 'Why?' is the one question that cant be answered by science.
Until recently, whenever I heard magic, I always thought of wizards, witches, and the awesome badass supernatural stuff that people wish they could do. Now I just think of magic as a title to something that hasn't been scientificly answered. I feel that everything has an explanation, we just don't have all the answers yet.
Man, a Satanist sounds like a tough label to carry. It would be against my religion to label myself that way for sure. I'm currently labeling myself as a G-rated bad man who promotes reckless abstinence.
Wrong. I'm saying what YOU think of as magic has an Occam's Razor explanation and that's what will be proven. Eventually science WILL find the smoking gun... but guess what? I'm not going to tear my hair out worrying and fretting and losing sleep over it. If I find something works, I don't have to think backwards to prove it to everyone's satisfaction.
Internal combustion engine? What's that? Excuse me while I drive to the store...
All I know is that an asian guy complaining about the size of his small penis is getting more hits than my video... and that is the state of the world today :-)
I loved it, every minute of it. (: Although a lot of atheist aren't dogmatic, like myself I don't believe in a Religious God. Just some sort of higher power, nothing written in a book. Very pleasing video.
For five years, every day I carried out a playing card guessing game, which pissed me off and I hated doing it; at then end of the period, I submitted the results (number of successful guesses per session) and I found that I was guessing LESS than the average possible statistically, so perhaps i was influencing the results.
Rev. John, I love your videos and I think you have some very interesting view points. You know how to make a person sit down and think and I believe that's what adjitates a lot of people. Thanks for the videos.
oh wow big news...the body has self healing abilites and hormones that can be tricked with placebos?
yeah it HAS to be magic right?
stop calling everything wich hasnt YET been discovered by science *MAGIC*, its the same behaviour stoneage desert cultists thought thousands of years ago...
You don't get it... when I was growing up in the 1950s, skeptics like YOU were screaming "bullshit" when certain doctors suggested that the body had self-healing abilities. Now you scream "bullshit" at other things... and the moment they are proven, you'll act as if you agreed with it all along.
In the Middle Ages, it was church members who were skeptics and if you believed anything odd or strange, like the earth being round, you'd get your ass killed. Today, the atheists are the accusers.
I totally agree. Our bodies have great abilities to heal, and it is somewhat dependent of positive thought,(triggering hormones). Nothing new there. No magic though.
Yes, but it was considered "magic" when I was a kid.
You don't get it. I went to school with these brilliant skeptics and teachers. They assured us that it was scientifically impossible for a man to land in the moon and return. The fuel consumption alone would prevent for a landing, forget a lift off!! Then they had the nerve to tell us after Apollo, "Nothing new here. We knew it all along!"
Well, it is still mentioned in the book, Legitimizing New Religions by James Lewis, where he detailed the account. I mentioned it briefly when I was interviewed on the MSNBC special, "In Search of Satan." Ummm...I could give you names. Why are you atheists always too lazy to do your own research?
I watched a program on the ironic precise similarities between seperated identical twins{as well as some non-seperated}, it;s mind blowing.
However, one thing, about the one you're citing here, it's interesting that if they both served as sherifs deputies so close to each other{likely same time} and if both vacationed on the same beach{presumably around the same time}- how the hell did they never have occasion to meet or hear of the other?
...I would suggest there must be some sort of connection between quantum particles in the identical twins probably developed during pregnancy. They would have enough quantum particles connected at great distances. what's that claled again? When if two particles interact at some point what iccurs to one happens to the other at a great distance, as well as how siome particles cna be here and way over there simultaneously. I think it has something to do with heisenburgs uncertainty principle?
However, does this quantumk connection between identical twins neccaserily mean there are other quantum phsyicic connections between humans not so closely connected?
I'd suggest it's possible enought to consider and thus research into these so-called 'paranormal/physcis" things deserves some more time and consideration before beeing written off by those of rational scientific mind; but there must be no bias{as you suggested} for or against the theory whilst conducyting it{which is difficult}
The problem with using terms like magic and psychic is just like in religion, it it too vague and easy to fake, why scientists tend to shy away from it. Because there is no way to test it, the number of Charletons and con artists can take advantage of that. Magic should be something you never spend money on, and use only to transform yourself. You will find a bunch of crap you have to discard a long the way though. This vagueness causes poor definitions, why science is so much more reliable.
How it could be bullshit? The video answers that quite well. Hypnosis was thought to be bullshit by atheists when I was growing up. Now those same atheists are parents complaining about violence on TV brainwashing and desensitizing our kids. Again, they just reach for another label. Call it something else.
Pretty cool video. I'm just wondering if all the information if completely correct now...too lazy to look it up myself though. Anyone got a link for me?
You should google "the Xloptuny Curse." Before Google bought Usenet, it was all there, posted and dated. I predicted how a man would blow his brains out one year before he actually did (in front of his wife). Coincidence? People accused me of putting thoughts in his head, preying on his mind, but the man was a black belt in karate, very educated and an angry neo-nazi. He kept calling me "weak, pathetic, cowardly and stupid." He once threatened to kill me. I must bring out the worst in people!
I never said I believe in Satan. But when a person believes in something long enough, and has it fixed in their mind, it becomes quite real for them.
You see, I believe you and I are God and that we were both there, together before the Universe began - the great singularity. We always were and always will be. And there are scientists who think along the same lines as I do - some identify themselves as atheists.
My opinion of where Gods come? The storybook is the simple version..
You can go on calling them coincidences, I prefer calling them synchronicities. I realize it is fashionable to bash Carl Jung in dogmatic atheist circles these days. I'm not arguing the point, I simply believe the occurrences happen more frequently and pronounced when there are genetic similarities. Even if the proof was staring you down, you'd be inclined to discredit it for the same reason the Christian does evolution. I mean, you are an atheist, right? Pinch my ass cheek if I'm wrong.
Yes, many minor differences, as was recently discovered. Thank you. But I stand by the research that's been done for years. I remember watching an interview back in the 1970's with two other reunited twin brothers, both firemen in different towns, unaware of each other, with a long list of freaky similarities - far too strange to be branded coincidence. I found it odd that no one ever had the courage to address the issue.
See, you are splitting hairs right now. Making silly inconsequential arguments to score points. It has long been known that identical twins develop differences that result from environment. One of them smokes too much and it changes the DNA, etc.. The older they get, the more "difference" you'll see, but they are still over 99.9% similar.
The rate of "coincidence" is greatest in identical twins with 100% genetic similarity. Next comes fraternal twins who only share 50% genetic material. Last, comes ordinary siblings, who have the least amount of "coincidence."
great video, if you think about it everything is magic, if any unbelievers want scientific documented proof, go to wikipedia and type in (Edward Cayce). intuition could be the voice of the god within us? love your videos RevJon, you are a great teacher.
I noticed you put the name "randi" as a tag word to this video. Does this mean you're going to present this to James Randi as proof of the supernatural and collect that reward? It would open a lot of minds and eyes to the supernatural if he had to come up off that money.
Ever notice how the Amazing Randi plays "fast and loose" with words and labels? His million dollar challenge is for those who can prove a "supernatural" claim. But once a phenomenon is examined, demonstrated and proven as science fact, it can no longer be considered "supernatural." James Randi is playing the game of "heads, I win - tails, you lose." And people have yet to figure this out!
Have a magical life!!!!!!!!

If you use the woird "magic" like the majority of people do, you cannot prove it. Because "magic" (in that way) means something for which are no proofs whatsoever.
If you relabel "magic" as you do, only then your notions make any sense.

Belief is very powerful. People who believe in voodoo die when they think they are under spiritual attack. It is nonsense of course but people die as a result. This is one of the many reasons we need to be careful with belief. Here is a belief of mine. You sir are an idiot. What a load of tripe.

sweetmonkeylove1 1 year ago
@sweetmonkeylove1 Evidence of PSI phenomenon does not necessarily equal belief in the supernatural or belief in God. I have been a life long fan of Bertrand Russell, by the way. And I honestly believe that objectivity within the scientific community has never been 100 per cent because scientists are human beings and therefore imperfect. The same set of experimental results analyzed by one generation of scientists may be interpreted differently by the next generation. The evidence is there now!

AceOfHeart2012 1 year ago

Our brain has the ABILITY not the power to heal itself.

earth.
(Note: I'm not suggesting that Lucifer is the light, or that Satan is good)
Chainsbrokenbyjesus 1 year ago
@Jcolinsol"..God divided the light from the darkness." - by the apearance of "light" in the world, God divided what was physical and spiritual darkness, into physical light, and darkness.
This means that there are two sources of light. The Holy Spirit (spiritual light, that walks "not by sight"), and physical light. (Note: Physical light isn't evil, it is good. - "..And God saw the light, that it was good..").

Chainsbrokenbyjesus 1 year ago
@Jcolinsol The implication here is that Lucifer serves a purpose in the Kingdom of God, by presenting us with a choice, of which we should choose to "walk by faith, and not by sight". Note also that the "light" that appeared at God's command, preceded the "light source" (Gen 1:16-18).
Chainsbrokenbyjesus 1 year ago
@Jcolinsol Now skip forward to the garden. Here the choice between spiritual light (life) and physical light (knowledge of good and evil) takes on physical form, as two trees. Now Lucifer comes in the form of a serpent to attempt to guide man to his light.
Here's where the whole thing gets tricky, in that if this is true than Lucifer would have been amoral, until Eve succumbed to his temptation, at which point he became the "god of this world".
Chainsbrokenbyjesus 1 year ago
If this is the case, then the point isn't one of satan being cast out of heaven, but one of him being dethroned as the "prince of the powers of the air".
Chainsbrokenbyjesus 1 year ago

I've had personal experiences with my intuition, which to this day I follow I would say 98% I was right.
joyell222 1 year ago
i'm kinda dissapointed someone as rational as you seem to be believes that atheism is dogmatic, the supernatural by definition cannot exist, in the moment an event is observable it is a natural phenomenon, all we want is tangible evidence that something like that exists, in the moment it does, it becomes something that can be studied by science. Even god enters those terms.
mauriciohavok 1 year ago
@mauriciohavok Right, the moment something is discovered, it ceases being "supernatural" and the guys in lab coats attach a label to it and claim it as science. Then you find out that witch doctors have been using a certain herb to cure a specific ailment for centuries, only to have it "re-discovered" by modern scientists who synthesize it into pill form and then put a legal patent on it! Our world revolves around money, not truth!! I suggest you read The Cosmic Serpent by Jeremy Narby.
RevJohn 1 year ago
@RevJohn and as far as that "intelligence" you talk about... i'm not sure, i understand there's a higher "order" if you'd like to call it that, that we will never understand because of our limited 5 senses, but i cannot say it's an intelligence because that's giving human properties to the unknown and that is dangerous in the way it may cloud your judgement
mauriciohavok 1 year ago
@mauriciohavok And as far as God goes, let me just say this. I do not believe in religion any more than you do. But don't try to convince me that there isn't an inherent intelligence behind the Universe. The evidence is solid and overwhelming. It is our attempts to EXPLAIN the creator that make us look childish and stupid. If you were to tell me that appealing to God was unnecessary, I would agree with you
RevJohn 1 year ago
@RevJohn I agree in your sense of people being corrupt and only caring about money, i have experienced this first hand, i wasn't talking about scientists themselves , i was just saying that by my definition of natural the supernatural doesn't exist and in the moment it is proven it exists it stops being super natural, it's just another thing that happens in reality.
mauriciohavok 1 year ago
@RevJohn Your book recommendation seems really interesting, you should also check (if you havent already) some books of Carlos castaneda, i'm not sure what the english title is but the rough translation is "The teachings of Mr. Juan" it's by an anthropologist that lived with a shaman of the yaqui "indians" in the north of mexico, it is really interesting.
mauriciohavok 1 year ago
@mauriciohavok
Jcolinsol 1 year ago
@Jcolinsol You can't also see or disprove that I have a dragon on my garage, that doesn't mean you should believe in it, and emotion are intangible but we can measure their effects on our brains and bodies. If the supernatural never interacts with the natural, then humans cannot interact or see magic, if it does intervines with the natural world, then it could be seriously studied and proven.
mauriciohavok 1 year ago
@mauriciohavok
Well, if you demanded proof as a requisite for belief you wouldn't believe anything.
I don't know of any reliable way to measure an emotion. You can measure brain activity I suppose, but not your experience. How do you measure an idea? Now consider that your system of measurement is itself an idea.
Jcolinsol 1 year ago
@Jcolinsol You can't measure an emotion, but you can prove emotions are real, by our own biochemistry, you can't measure dark matter, but you can observe it's gravitational pull,
mauriciohavok 1 year ago
@mauriciohavok
Jcolinsol 1 year ago
@Jcolinsol again, if you cannot comprehend it how can you assert it exists? i don't negate the posibility of it existing, i just say there is no real reason to believe there is
mauriciohavok 1 year ago
@mauriciohavok
"If you demanded proof as a requisite for belief you wouldn't believe anything."
There's no reason to believe in anything, belief is a matter of faith, not reason.

'Why?' is the one question that cant be answered by science.
heyhi426 2 years ago
So people believeing in things that don't exist is evidence for magic? You may wish to rethink that one.
worldlystone 2 years ago
Until recently, whenever I heard magic, I always thought of wizards, witches, and the awesome badass supernatural stuff that people wish they could do.
Iconoclastithon 2 years ago
...I would suggest there must be some sort of connection between quantum particles in the identical twins probably developed during pregnancy. They would have enough quantum particles connected at great distances. what's that claled again? When if two particles interact at some point what iccurs to one happens to the other at a great distance, as well as how siome particles cna be here and way over there simultaneously. I think it has something to do with heisenburgs uncertainty principle?
Iconoclastithon 2 years ago
However, does this quantumk connection between identical twins neccaserily mean there are other quantum phsyicic connections between humans not so closely connected?
I'd suggest it's possible enought to consider and thus research into these so-called 'paranormal/physcis" things deserves some more time and consideration before beeing written off by those of rational scientific mind; but there must be no bias{as you suggested} for or against the theory whilst conducyting it{which is difficult}
Iconoclastithon 2 years ago
The problem with using terms like magic and psychic is just like in religion, it it too vague and easy to fake, why scientists tend to shy away from it. Because there is no way to test it, the number of Charletons and con artists can take advantage of that. Magic should be something you never spend money on, and use only to transform yourself. You will find a bunch of crap you have to discard a long the way though. This vagueness causes poor definitions, why science is so much more reliable.

The storybook is the simple version..

unsubbed, i dislike irrationality.

Why do you think they're called identical twins? Many share the same placenta with their mother. You really should do your research.
RevJohn 2 years ago
The rate of "coincidence" is greatest in identical twins with 100% genetic similarity. Next comes fraternal twins who only share 50% genetic material. Last, comes ordinary siblings, who have the least amount of "coincidence."

Our own faith and beliefs can make things happen indeed.

great video, if you think about it everything is magic, if any unbelievers want scientific documented proof, go to wikipedia and type in (Edward Cayce). intuition could be the voice of the god within us? love your videos RevJon, you are a great teacher.
